Our tour guide Mon was so awesome and made us feel welcome. We rode bikes through the streets of Silk Island and seeing the markets, and saw the country side where we visited farms. And finally our time at the silk island facility was really eye opening. We got to speak with the workers and touched the silk cocoons. So far this has been one of my favorite tours and experiences in Phnom Penh area. I would really recommend.

It was very hot and expect very level but long bike ride. Over 1 1/2 hours. So be prepared apart from that the guide was amazing and friendly and the lunch at the floating restaurant on the Mekong was delicious plus the chill for 15 mins on the hammocks over the river before lunch was nice.

Mon was patient, friendly and knowledgable as a guide. The cycling tour was fabulous. We experienced local culture, history, visited temples and local businesses and had a sumptuous lunch at a floating restaurant by the river. Highly recommended for those who like some adventure!

Very good tour. The bike riding tour was different but still fun. I dont think I ever rode a bike for 5 hour but it was good exercise. The heat may be a battle depending of the time of year you go. But overall I recommend this tour if you want a challenge and you have stamina

such an incredible experience, you take a lovely route across the entire island and stop off at many different points, cold water is provided along the way when needed so there is no need to be concerned about that. the tour guide spoke incredible english and was full of knowledge

I loved every minute of this trip. Sey was amazing. He greeted me at my hotel and booked a tuk tuk for us to the port. We got the ferry across the river to Silk Island where we collected our bikes. Sey spoke excellent English and he so was informative about the island and the locals. We stopped at many different places on the island. Highlights for me were seeing how silk and bean curd were made and seeing the flat Buddha. We visited locals houses and had traditional Cambodian food including a sticky rice wrap and mango cake for a mid morning snack and Cambodian curry for lunch followed by a relax on a hammock by the river! Such an enjoyable morning that I will treasure forever - thank you Sey!

Cycling Tour of Islands

Our two local guides Sey & Simon were incredible! They showed us so many unusual and fascinating farming techniques. We had a wonderful experience weaving silk and tasting fresh fruits, followed by a delicious lunch. We covered 3 islands and were picked up and returned to our hotel. Great value trip - definitely worth doing!

Fantastic experience cycling around the idyllic village roads of Silk Island and Mekong Island. Experience local snacks and have lunch on a floating restaurant. I was extremely fortunate to have a Silk Island resident - Pisey - as my tour guide. He's funny, engaging and very knowledgeable.

The delightful escape from the city

How did delightful experience with Nuth as our guide. It was nice to get out of the city and experience some nature and see how people live. It was so interesting to see in detail how the silk is produced. We also saw how tofu is produced in sheets in Cambodia. Lunch was a delight on the river. And Nuth was a delight.

We had a lovely morning cycling around the three islands. Our tour guide Sye was very friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us a variety of different farms and plants while providing us with insight of the lifestyle of the local people. We enjoyed a couple of snacks along the way before finishing the journey with a delicious Khmer lunch. I would recommend this activity to anyone who would like to experience some calm amongst the chaos of Phnom Penh.

Solid ride

Knowledgeable guide and enjoyable tour, though it was more about local farming than silk production than I expected. Good bikes but one thing to note: As a petite adult, I need a small helmet and the only one they had that was small enough to fit me had a broken adjustable inner band so it kept slipping off my head. Good thing I never needed it because it wouldn’t have done anything to protect my noggin. Please ensure appropriate safety equipment is available for a wider range of riders and in good working order. Total distance on bike was 15 miles, about half on paved roads, the rest on gravel and packed dirt, some of it full-on washboard rough. Solid ride with three ferry crossings and a nice lunch stop at the end.

After being away for almost 3 weeks and doing many many tours in that time, we can definitely say that this was one of our Top experiences and we would definitely do it again, we hope we have got the guides name correct and believe it to be ‘Vin’ and hope that this review is passed on to him as he was absolutely 1st class! Many tours you do as a one off but this is one of those tours that we would be happy to do again. Cycling was steady with many stops along the way & we had the opportunity to sample both a snack which at first we thought was lunch and then an excellent lunch in lovely surroundings. We had a go at weaving and then the opportunity to purchase scarves made on the loom which on this occasion were excellent quality at an unbelievable price. The ferry trips were smooth and run very efficiently, the locust farm was unexpected and a good local point of interest and the opportunity to see the monastery and Nunnery along with other religious statues was interesting. This included the very large golden sleeping Buddha. We cannot recommend this tour enough, and if you’re reading this, don’t think about it, just do it, you won’t regret it.

This tour was a great experience. Our wonderful guide led us through several small villages and farms outside of Phnom Penh. A visit to a local silk farm was informative. We were able to see silk worm farming process to final woven products. A delicious authentic lunch was provided on a floating restaurant on the Mekong river. Only wish was that there were more opportunities to stop for some photo opportunities. This tour was roughly 25km (16 miles) along flat but sometimes rough terrain. Some biking experience and fitness level is required.

Amazing experience, a lot of bike riding but the ground was mostly level and fairly easy. The tour guide also adjusts the difficulty to suit the group. Highlights include the monastery and the silk weavers. The food was also super delicious! The tour guide explained a lot of farming to us, like banana, ginger and crickets. Highly recommend and our tour guide Sei was really nice and funny.

Great tour. I was alone on the tour, so it was indeed private. Was great to discover these islands just next to the city. The nature is still very present and local live seems preserved. My guide showed me plenty of little things from plants to traditional architecture. I had a great time. I highly recommend.
