Old UK guy visits the temples

Although it is a long drive from Phnom Penh the journey is interesting and colourful and the road is smooth. Sarom, my driver, was safe and careful. Sinay, my guide for the tour of the temples, was amusing company and very knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Highly recommend it. Thank you to both .

Long day but worth it.

Our driver, Vannak, showed up just before 4 AM. We drove for a few hours and stopped for breakfast. Made it to the welcome/ticket center to meet the tour guide, Siyan Kin, by 8:30 and we were at Angkor Wat by 9:00. Took a few hours to go through the massive temple. Then went to lunch and on to Taprohm and Bayon. After that we headed home around 4 and were back at hotel by 8:00. Vannak was an excellent driver and Siyan proved to be a great tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable and an expert at taking the perfect pictures. Would definitely recommend this tour if you are limited on time. The Siem Reap area has so much to offer. Next time I will make it more than just a single day visit.

We were picked up from our Hotel in Phnompenh in the morning. We have the driver Vuthy who is careful and brought us to Siem Reap,the 3 temples safely and back to our hotel in Phnompenh. Our tour guide Siyan speaks excellent English and knowlegeable. He is pleasant and helpful. Also is a good photographer. They made our first visit to Cambodia a truly memorable. We highly recommend both of them

We opted To staf in phomn pemh and book To bepicked up at4am From our hotel arriving AT 8.15am AT Angkor Wat .Our excellent Safe professional driver is Mr Thearak Heng .He was very hospitable To us offering us icy cold Water and cold wet wipes To us To us cool down .MrHeng wasalways waiting For us at temple doorstep To transfer us To another temple he was. He was never far away and we never waited For long For jim To oick us up.Mr Heng is so hardworkimg pleasant and so hospitable. Amazing Siem Reap!

We really enjoyed our time touring the temples of Siem Reap, we only got to visit three of them - Angkor Wat, Nokor/Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm because of time constraints but I believe we’ve seen the best of them. Big plus were the trees around the temples. Mr Sarath, our driver brought us to and from Siem Reap safely. He was at our Phnom Penh hotel at 4am sharp. Our guide, Sean, was a gem. He made sure we knew the backstory and that we have great pictures of the temples. The temples and its surroundings were amazing! We were sweating while walking but it was all worth it. Visit Siem Reap now, look up Mr Sarath and Sean!

Such a wonderful team who all took great care of me from start to finish. Phat Sok collected me in the wee hours from my hotel and drove me to the temple and we engaged in a wonderful conversation the whole way. When we arrived at Angkor Wat he passed me over to my guide for the day Sean who was incredible! He knew every detail and all the special spots in all the temples we visited and informed me of all the cultural, religious and historical shifts that happened in the creation and alteration of the temples and park. A great photographer too, expert in pano shots capturing me and all the trees growing in and out of Ta Prohm temple aka tomb raider temple. They took me to a great restaurant which had a good mix of western and Khmer local dishes which were delicious! After lots of walking and immersing in all the history my 2nd driver GiC drove me back to Pnhom penh but took an extra detour to show me the old road and bridge that was built at the same time as Angkor wat. If you are limited for time, as I was being here for business but want to experience a least one bit of Cambodia culture and its history you absolutely must take this journey and tour with this thoughtful team.
