We had a great evening with Lee and 1 other couple, exploring Phnom Penh’s food scene and its Russian night market. Lee has a wealth of knowledge about his country, the city and, of course, food. He was informative, insightful and fun! We made 5 scheduled stops in total, travelling by tuk-tuk, which was a great way to get around. And, if we spied something that looked interesting while we were on the go, Lee would pop out and get us a taste. This was much appreciated and very generous of him. We chose this tour because it seemed to have the greatest focus on offering a variety of food and to offer the widest range of eating experiences. Lee delivered perfectly! The tour was well-organised and everything worked seamlessly. Plenty of water and beer was available. We ended our evening in a charming sky bar overlooking the Russian market, for cocktails. Highly recommended.

I always choose some food tours for any place I go to, even if I have been there before. I love seeing and tasting a city through a local’s eyes and tastebuds. I didn’t realise my stay in Cambodia almost completely overlapped with a public holiday that would mean that many places closed down, so I was very lucky to get to go on tour with Yi and Kingdom of Wanderlust Cambodia! Yi showed me yummy local dishes that I never would have been able to pick on my own as there are far too many vendors and too many options to choose from. :-) Everything was fresh and delicious and even though the food was great, I think I enjoyed the stories even more! Yi’s knowledge of history, food, and culture is impressive and I felt like I learned a lot. He was also happy to share personal experiences of his life and travels and I felt like I was hanging out with a new friend. :-) I will definitely be in touch on my next trip to Cambodia to discuss your tours in other places! Thank you again for such a fun night! :-)

Very knowledgeable and nice guide. Knows places that I would never have found by myself. And the cambodian cuisine is very fresh and tasty, it doesn’t fall back behind the vietnamese cuisine at all and is nonetheless still under the international radar. I highly recommend this tour to get acquainted with it!

Yi was wonderful in sharing his knowledge and personal background of his country's local cuisine. We're also sightseeing as our tuk tuk wisks us all over town to various places to eat! All wonderful, all safe, and not your typical tourist spots.

It was a wonderful experience, and I got to try a variety of real Khmer food. It was hard for me to decide which was my favorite because they were all so wonderful. Yi, the guide, is incredibly polite and hospitable and has lots of anecdotes and background information to provide about each dish. At the conclusion, he also brought us out for drinks at a classy rooftop bar, where we carried on our conversation and finished the dessert. Everyone traveling to Cambodia should do his tour, and you should eat a lot before the tour because there is a lot of cuisine to sample.

High expectations that didn't come true.

The guide was friendly and pleasant, however, the food and drinks were not. One of the restaurants was a seafood restaurant but I couldn't order any of those seafood dishes. So, I paid out of my own pocket to taste one. The total amount of food and drinks was about $15 max, but I paid $67 for the tour. Very disappointing.

I do feel that your comments are not a fair reflection of our services. After paying the driver who picked you up and drove you to each location, paying commission fees to Tripadvisor, food costs and the fee to our hardworking guide who spent this time with you, we actually made a profit loss as you were a single traveller. I am sure you can appreciate that we are providing a complete service and this service must be paid for, with respect. With regard to your comments about the seafood, all our food is clearly advertised on our trip description. Our guides are there to make food choices. It is our service to choose authentic Cambodian food, and they are fixed menu items. I am sure you can appreciate that whilst we can accommodate dietary restrictions (vegetarian, pescatarian etc) we cannot simply allow people to order off menu without prior agreement on booking. This would significantly impact our budget and be unfair to other guests. You had initially booked the evening food tour by mistake as you intended to take the breakfast tour. I was kind enough to change the booking for you at short notice. I am very disappointed to receive an unfair review given my flexibility and kindness. I hope you can finish your travels with better appreciation for small local business that is still recovering after covid.
