Overview
Explore St. Maarten independently in a 6-seater all-terrain buggy. You and five of your friends and family will meet up at the buggy depot for an introductory lesson on how to safely operate the buggy, then take off with the provided map to conquer the terrain. Renting a buggy allows you access to some of the rugged, off-road parts of the island that most traditional tours don’t visit.

Lack of communication on how to meet up at cruise terminal. We had to call for directions on how to meet up with ATV Island employee. Side by side was subpar, transmission was very loud, emitted heat on calves of back seat passengers that felt like it was burning, brakes didnt work well. Not worth the $. Would not book this again based on the side by sides provided. Employees were very friendly. Exploring the island independently was great.

Myself, kids and grandkids rented a 6 seater for the day and had a fabulous time touring the island on our own schedule and time. It was such a blast traveling in the open air vehicle. The company was great to work with. There was a mix up on our pick up location and they came and got us and took us back to the port at the end of the trip. Highly recommend!

Side by side was not as described. It had no brakes, tires rubbed the fenders, and no suspension. Very unsafe for road with no blinkers or rear brake lights. We were handed a map but the listing showed built in GPS and a different kind of SXS. We had a hard time finding the company at the port. The directions from company didn’t match meet up location.

Dear Angelia, the side by sides don’t have built in GPS, it’s also not on our listing that they do. I think you maybe saw a different listing, as no side by sides on this island have built in GPS. Also the side by side on our listing is the same as what is provided. I think there must be a mix up here

The side-by-side we were given was in very bad shape. No turn signals, the doors wouldn’t latch and the steering was very difficult to control. There is also a sound coming out of the rear axle, and we were concerned whether the side-by-side would make it back to the ship. Via tour should check on this particular vendor,ATV Island.

The pickup point was confusing, we asked around and were given bad advice, ended up walking into town. However, the concessionaire found us. They reached out to us and made it work. But we did lose valuable time.
We had a great time, saw the things we wanted to see and so... success...

I have used Julio and his crew several times while visiting St Maarten. Getting from the port to the garage was easy, as was the checkout process. My biggest complaint about this trip was the unit was in dire need of servicing, parts were loose, it kept backfiring throughout the day. Going up some of the roads was a STRUGGLE and it barely would go 20-25 kph and was extremely LOUD.
IM hoping next trip he has some better units or I’ll start looking at other options.

For starters, this place looks like a junk yard. They tried to give us a rental that was rusted, handle bar broken, and when I asked for a different one, they ended up giving us one where the parking brake didn't work, so we couldn't even park the vehicle without it rolling. Very unsafe. I would definitely avoid this place at all costs.

It was great organization and and very pleasurable on your own activity. The only thing I would suggest is better maintenance of the atvs, just a little old. Other than that the team was great and helpful!

One tire was completely bald and had no traction. Couldn't turn without skidding. Very dangerous. Very poor communication and serious language barrier.

A very good experience. Very nice people. The pick up was quick. The UTV was reliable and the direction to get around the island was very clear and understandable. Definitely whenever I come back to St Maarten I will choose this company.

I want to preface this by saying the people and the service was absolutely amazing. My kids loved everything about this experience and I was more than happy because they were happy.
However. I think back and wonder why I would pay $333 for a side by side when I could have rented a car for $50.

Great experience, they were very quick and responsive. I was skeptical at first to book through a third party but I was impressed overall. Plus it was much more affordable than booking through our cruise ship!

It was a fun day riding around the island in the 6 seater buggy. They met us outside the cruise terminal gate. The driver for our group was transported to the buggy rental/storage area where our driver picked up the buggy and drove back to the cruise port to pick up the rest of the group. From there, we toured the island. When we were finished touring, our driver dropped our group off at the terminal and drove the buggy back to the rental shop. They then drove our driver back to cruise port. It was an easy process and a great way to see the island. Would definitely recommend this as an excursion.

From cruise port it is a 5 minute walk to the transfer meeting point. Have to leave Cruise Boarding Pasa and collect during drop off. Equipment need to be updated but the views during the island wide tour is amazing.

Started off great but the afternoon was a waste due to the fact we broke down with know other buggy to give us. They did compensate us with drinks and didn’t make us fill up the tank.

Was a little mess up when we first arrived but they cleared it up. Expected the opportunity to go off-road a little but it is really just a fun way to see the island at your own pace. They provided a basic map of the island and off we went. Saw some beautiful scenery. Tight squeeze for 6 adults but manageable. Found a fun French cafe to eat at.

Unfortunately I am not able to leave a positive review here. I reserved two 6 seater and upon arrival to checkin I was informed that they only had one 6 seater as three broke down earlier that day. This was not a good sign. They offered one 6 seater and one 4 seater luckily we didn’t have more people and this would work so we went on. Well half way around the island the 6 seater started over heating and smoking. By the grace of God the lady that rented us the machine happened to pull up and was picking up a rental car. She took us to Mahi beach where we awaited a jeep to be delivered. Appreciative that they made it right but this caused us to have to wait an hour in Maho which took time we were planning to shop in Phollipsburg. Look elsewhere to book your tours.

Kristy, you are correct, we 2 Side By Side that customers put Diesel in them the night before, hence why we had to get some side by sides from another company to cover our bookings. This is something out of our hands.

Seeing the Island via a side by side was great. The challenge with this rental is the machines are extremely old, tires were completely warn down, and the passenger side mirror was broken and hanging down and not usable. The machine broke down on us and left us stranded for about 45 minutes. Luckily it happened early in our adventure and not when we needed to get back to the boat. It was also lucky that a passerby stopped and helped us call ATV island because my phone would not put the call through. I would look for a different place to rent if possible.

This experience was truly unforgettable. Despite some confusion with the map, Apple Maps led us to all the incredible spots on the island. We had a blast exploring the beautiful beaches and other recommended locations suggested by the staff.

Getting to the facility was simple. Physical equipment was in fair shape, front tires were bald and engine was in sore need of a tuneup. This aside it was serviceable and was an enjoyable way to travel around the entire island. Fuel costs were extra but not unreasonable. Our group.of 6 enjoyed the view and open air driving.

We appreciated the friendliness of the staff, but the side by side was sooo loud that it wasn’t an enjoyable experience. We ride side by sides at home, this one was extremely loud (like a hole in the muffler).

That is correct. The factory mufflers are not the best, so we have ordered some different ones to enhance d the experience and cancel the noise. Just takes time as everything here is imported. Thank you for the comment though, we are working on it.

What an amazing ATV adventure where we saw the entire island. We were picked up on time and dropped off immediately. We felt safe, no atv issues, just more used and dinged than we expected but that wasn't a problem.

Absolutely amazing. Very easy to navigate and enjoyed being on our time everyone was very pleasant to deal with worth every penny. We had a group of 10 and rented 2 6 seaters.
