Misleading, Poorly Organized, and Unprofessional – Avoid This Tour Company

I feel obligated to share my experience with this company to help others avoid the same stressful and disappointing situation. First off, they advertise private transportation, but that’s completely misleading. I was packed into a van with numerous other people, including local commuters, and only 4 other tourists. What should’ve been a 1-hour ride from Paracas to Huacachina turned into a 3-hour trip because of all the random stops. We only got 1 hour at Huacachina, which is absolutely stunning and deserves so much more time. The actual place is amazing — but sadly, this tour didn’t give me the opportunity to really enjoy it. What made things even worse was the lack of communication and professionalism leading up to the tour. Every other company I’ve booked with in Peru has reached out the day before to confirm pickup times and give you a clear idea of what to expect. This company? Nothing. No call, no message. When I tried to reach out, there was no phone number, just a chat option through the app — and no one responded for hours. Luckily, I went to search for the pickup point around 1:45pm, even though the directions took me down a sketchy alley with several unrelated tour offices. None of the other companies had even heard of the one I booked with. I was seriously starting to think I'd been scammed. Thankfully, a kind guide from another tour company helped me search for them, and eventually, someone finally replied via message to say: "Sorry, I thought you were booked for tomorrow." Excuse me? You’re running a tour company and can’t even track your bookings correctly? To top it off, the tour did not return me to Paracas, but dumped everyone in Ica — about an hour away — with no ride back, no assistance, and no instructions. I was left in an unfamiliar town, late at night, surrounded by unmarked taxis. I finally made it back to my hotel at 11:45pm after leaving at 3pm, with just one rushed hour spent in Huacachina. Overall, this was a disorganized, unprofessional, and stressful experience that felt borderline unsafe. The destination itself was beautiful — but this company completely mishandled everything else. Do yourself a favor: book with a reputable company that communicates, confirms, and respects your time and safety. This one absolutely does not.

We regret that your experience was not satisfactory. We also regret your comment and that you are trying to discredit us in such a deceitful way. To begin with, as the information on the website shows, the pickup point is an agreement between us and the traveler; you did not wait for us to contact you. The booking information also details that the tour ends in Ica; it does not say that it includes the return to Paracas. Your failure to read the full information is your mistake. You cannot make false claims regarding these matters or label us as unprofessional when the full information is detailed and you did not read it. You even claim that the website does not reveal such information, which is false. We sent you proof of the detailed information. When we contacted you to ask if the tour was as expected, you proceeded to state that the website does not display such information, and we sent you screenshots of the information from our company profile and also as an external buyer of the website, and in both cases, the information is there. Therefore, you shouldn't tell a lie. Do yourself a favor and read more on your next booking. Thank you.
