There was only one opportunity to get lunch and that was from 10:20-11:20 at La madellena. The food on board was the one from the supermarket in plastic. We realized this too late and ended up first eating after the trip at 17. So have this in mind. Furthermore we think the two beach stops for 1,5 hour was too much. Rather see more places. Because there was no where else to really go and explore. So bring stuff to eat and other entertainment.

The tour is good. It was amazing enjoying swimming & seeing beautiful landscape and beaches. Get some water shoes if you like to see closer the Spiaggia Rosa , you could swim from the boat and go on the island to take a photo (was nice to be offered the option). Beverage and snack food available on the boat. On the negative side - We were in the orient express boat, not very ideal seating & having other people joining at different locations created some frustrations (sadly few went kind of rude). Sound of the music was not great and loud.

No clear sign for the boat to find at the pier.
We were there a head of time, and when asked around we were told the boat hadn’t arrived yet. Later when the time of departure came and no boat, we saw another family in same situation. They called the guide and found out that boat had already left. We had to take the ferry to catch up on the next stop. They said flat no to refund at least the ferry tickets, as well as considering we missed a chance to walk in the city of first stop we got no compensation.
In addition the boat was too filled up with not enough spaces to sit. The stops were great and the islands are amazing. The English of the guide was not easy to follow but she did make effort to describe and explain the surroundings. The rest of the staff couldn’t speak English.
At the stops a small inflatable boat was used to get to the islands, they over filled at first stop and upon complain by other guests it was better at the rest of the stops.
I wouldn’t recommend for a non Italian speakers, as language was definitely a barrier. Not enough space to sit as family together. And lack of understanding of the situation, makes it difficult, considering we were not the only ones that couldn’t fint the boat, and based on other reviews seems to be a continous issue. The boat is not as portrayed in the pictures, which also made it difficult to easily identify at the pier, and was a quite surprise once we saw it.
Islands are amazing so would definitely recommend taking the islands trip in general.
