Ivana super knowledgeable about San Panelo, Arazchrna, Porto Cervo, and Costa smeralda! Comfy van. Gives you time to explore. Take change for bathroom usage. Lunch not included in tour. Churches were the best part of the tour.

I, along with a couple from our cruise ship, spent a wonderful day with Luca. He took us to some amazing and beautiful places and shared his love and knowledge of Sardinia with us. It was a great tour of this part of the island. The Costa Smerarlda is spectacular and Luca is super guide.

I booked this trip because I was travelling without a car and wanted to get a glimpse of some other areas of Sardinia. I'm so glad I did! Ivana was a wonderful tour leader - kind, funny, chatty, helpful and interesting. I learned loads about not only the places that we visited but also the history and culture of Sardinia in general. Porto Cervo was a pleasant surprise for me too. Although clearly designed for the very wealthy, it's tastefully done and suits the beautiful setting.
Logistics-wise, communication leading up to the trip was great, and the vehicle was very comfortable. I felt we had the right amount of time at each stop - it was extremely hot that day, so endless wandering wasn't really an option. The tour also ends in time for you to squeeze in an afternoon beach trip from Olbia. Alternatively, one of the stops on the trip (assuming they're the same each time) has a beach, so you might want to take swim stuff with you.

Ivana from FortiEventi was an amazing tour guide. She was professional, very knowledgeable about the area, gave everyone leisure time to explore and has a great rapport with everyone and had a lovely sense of humour. Would definitely recommend this tour … it was our first time to Sardinia !!! And we will be back !!!

It was one of the best tours I have had. It was a full day and key areas and "must sees" were included with an adequate time to visit each spot. But what made this tour extra special was our guide, Ivana. Everyone should enjoy their jobs and people as much as her. I don’t normally write negative reviews but this time I could not help myself. I booked the Emerald Coast Tour through Viator for Sunday 28th August. After a few hours from my booking I received a message from the tour operator stating that the tour was fully booked (Fortieventi the tour operator had overbooked it) and I would need to rebook it (nothing stating the tour was fully booked while I was booking it). I rebooked it for Monday and the same thing occurred, the tour was fully booked. I was told the only available day was Wednesday, which was fine by me so I asked the tour operator to rebook us for Wednesday 31st August (my birthday). Booking confirmed. Wednesday 31st morning, I get a message from the tour operator stating that the tour was cancelled as the van had a broken windscreen (they confirmed me on 30th August in the evening it was all good). I was obviously disappointed and thought that it was a bit strange that a windscreen would get broken the day of the tour. I then spoke to some German tourists that were staying at our hotel and they told me that they were doing the same tour I was supposed to be on (Fortieventi was the tour operator), and their guide was named Ivana (same as the guide we were supposed to have on our tour). I was in Porto Cervo and saw both the guide and the van, which was in perfect conditions, of course. One can easily make assumptions…I am very disappointed with Viator. They used to vet tour operators but their standards have gone down a lot! Please stay away from this tour operator (Fortieventi) if you are an English speaker.

Excellent trip covering authentic Sardinia as well as Porto Cervo. Our guide Ivana was excellent and very informative and as we were a mixed group spoke fluent English and German. Plenty of time given at the different locations and many good photo stops on route. Would highly recommend if you want to see both sides of the Costa Smeralda.

Luca was an amazing guide who was sensitive to the needs of each guest and filled the day with joy and interesting facts about each location we visited. He went out of his way to make sure the experience was unforgettable, as he drove us to the most beautiful views and fascinating locations of the island. Extra plus: he told us many interesting details about each location and about the history of this incredible island. I highly recommend him as a guide and this trip! I did not have a car : was travelling solo & out of season so getting to see the Costa Smeralda would have been nigh on impossible on public transport . This small group tour was the best solution
Comfortable; air conditioned ; socially distanced- masks on inside the car at all times . V Covid secure for starters .
The itinerary was excellent :
Started off at a Nuraghi site - love a bit of history so this went back way back BC ! Have an insight into the early settlements on this island .
Next up was the charming &divine mountain village of SAN Pantaleo. Authentic charm of old stone houses of a bygone age ; a boho artsy vibe and stunning views of almost impossibly shaped mountains frame this idyllic village . Could’ve stayed longer !
Next up we hit the famous Costa Smeralda- once a worthless stretch of land fit only for goats now the playground of the super rich who think 9 E is too little for an espresso !
2020 has seen fewer mega rich yachts and high rollers in the area - I got one was glad to see it like this .
Porto Rotondo was stunning . A wonderful example of new build development totally in keeping with its traditional Sardinian roots but with a new modern twist in its stunning Church is SAN Lorenzo and it’s open air theatre . The church by the way HAS to be visited : one of the most originally beautiful pieces of interior architecture I have seen in all my many years of globetrotting .
Porto Cervo is nice too - but for me did not have the SOUL of Porto Rotondo .
Final stop was the Surrau vineyard nr Arzachena . I wasn’t drinking/ tasting but no matter via it has the most gorgeous view of this wonderful mountains surrounding SAN Pantaleo- soothing way to end a great day out .
The guide Luca spoke perfect English and was incredibly engaging and helpful throughout .
Pricey - but worth it .

We were so lucky with Ivana - she is a local - who told us with a lot of heart and humor felt everything about Sardinia, showed great spots and responds to all wishes without asking. In the end she took us to a "desired place" without asking and made sure that we could still eat in a restaurant before she just picked us up later and brought us back - long after the actual end of the tour!
We were all so excited that we booked another tour with her the very next day.
That and the best that can happen to you:-)
