Itinerary

After meeting your guide at the designated location in Noosa Heads or Noosaville, settle into your comfortable 4-wheel drive vehicle for the scenic drive to Teewah Beach via the Noosa North Shore ferry.

When your vehicle disembarks from the ferry, prepare for a thrilling ride along Great Beach Drive. Take in views of the coast and the colorful sandstone cliffs along the way.

Arrive at the pristine paradise of Double Island Point, a gorgeous headland with a variety of marine life. There, your guide provides kayaking equipment and instruction before you set out on a guided kayak tour. Keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins, migrating whales (seasonal), turtles, rays, migrating birds, and soldier crabs. From the water, you also get a great perspective on Double Island Point Lighthouse.

Relax on the return trip along Great Beach Drive to Noosa.

The drive along the long beach was quite spectacular. Tyron our host and driver was friendly relaxed and informative, pointing out the various sights and points of interest along the way. Upon reaching our destination we spent an amazing few hours kayaking in this incredibly beautiful location. Just a great experience and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The afternoon was a great adventure, and the guide was excellent. I had not kayaked before, so I found this part of the activity challenging. The guide kindly helped me with this. Just magic! The 4x4 took us for a drive on the beach to get to Double Island. On the way, we saw many humpback whales playing and frolicking close to the shore. Slapping the water and then a double breech! We arrived to the beach spot on this sunny hot day and took off paddling where the waters were calmer. Water crystal clear turtles and dolphins galore. Gorgeous dolphins swam under us and got very close. My boys enjoyed the Tim Tams and chippies on the way back. Thank you so much, we loved it!

Had a great time - the beach 4WD was a great experience, James was an enthusiastic and friendly tour guide and Kishan was a fantastic kayak guide. Unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins on the tour, but the beach adventure was worth it regardless. Highly recommend this trip!

We advertise dolphin encounters kayaking as this is very common you will see on many other reviews. However, there are rare occasions for reasons out of our the experienced guides control they simply are not encountered on the day. For any potential participants i would suggest keeping an open mind on what wildlife to see on any given day, guides are well trained to find dolphins, whales, turtles, kangaroos, snakes and other awesome wildlife and tour highlights including the Fraser Island like beach drive and ocean kayaking experience within the Double Island Point Marine Park have almost always received amazing feedback. Nature has a special unpredictability to it and the location of Double Island Point we tour in is a high food source for a lot of wildlife and a typically very quiet tropical paradise.

Beautiful scenery and drive along beach. Meeting other people from around the country and world, sharing experiences. Sadly vehicle got bogged on sand twice and had to wait more than an hour before vehicle was able to be moved. This forced guides to rush remainder of tour which reduced their ability to guide and interact. Due to delay tide was coming in reducing amount of beach available to drive on. Sea kayaking experience required due to challenging surf conditions. Overall would not recommend your.

Hi Brendan, thanks for the feedback and joining us. Great you thought the scenery and drive along the beach was beautiful and you enjoyed the group. The guides did unfortunately get stuck on the way up for half hour as other users on the beach had blocked access out of our control. The guides contacted management and we did extend the tour 40 minutes to make up for that. Some clients really enjoy this aspect of the tour its all part of the adventure and the remote National Park location things just happen sometimes. The ocean conditions were very protected along the coloured sands where you kayaked please be mindful this is sea kayaking not a river kayaking experience. We do have a Noosa river kayaking experience that would be more suitable for the older participants worried about sea conditions. You will see many other great reviews regarding our trips please be mindful the guides will always do their very best to make a rewarding experience for all clients. All the best.

Our guides Cam and Nick were amazing. Unfortunately other than one Dorsal fin we didn’t see any animals but the place is so incredible and the guides were great that the kayaking experience by itself was worth the trip. We had rough enough conditions so wasn’t for the faint hearted or poor swimmers, and was a little sea sick inducing for some. Over all a great day out.

I am a local resident and I booked this tour to take a friend from overseas up to Rainbow Beach. Tyson and Nick were our guides and I thought they made this such a pleasant experience and well worth the money. We didn't see dolphins but we saw lots of tuna jumping all around us and birds diving for fish. I really enjoyed that experience and the time on the water wasn't rushed, so even if you don't see dolphins don't be disappointed because the views and time on the water is very special.

The 4 wheel drive along the beach is very scenic and not something you do every day. Sea kayaking is safe and achievable for all skill levels. Unfortunately no dolphins for us but, hey the have to have a day off every now and then. Cam was our guide for the day, great guy, professional and very informative. I recommend this tour highly. The kayaking was terrific. Was a little nervous about kayaking in the ocean as I’ve only kayaked in lakes, but the instructor Vince was very helpful, and the ocean was actually pretty calm. Loved the time on the water. Did see a dolphin and several sea turtles.

Was a Little disappointing to find we spent more time on a bus for this "adventure" then doing anything else. I thought it could of been more fun if we had of done more with our time, and kayaked in a different location.

Hi Johanna, sorry you didnt enjoy the driving on the beach much it is a real thrill for most. The drive on this day was a little longer on the pick ups in Noosa as it was a Saturday in the school holidays and some clients were not on time. You can meet us at the Tewantin Ferry to avoid this. We spent 1 hour on the beach driving and we saw plenty of whales close to shore as well as passing the towering coloured sands. The stop at freshwater is also a highlight with the large Goannas and we spent over 2 hours on the water kayaking in an incredible Marine Park at Double Island Point. There was also some time to swim and relax on the beach. This is a special National Park location that offers a rewarding nature and wildlife experience for most as seen in our other reviews but thank you again for joining us and your feedback. Had the best time kayaking around double island point. Saw lots of birds, a sting ray and turtles. Saw several pods of dolphins from up close and whales from far away. Vince was an incredible guide, loved his jokes and all the knowledge he shared with us. Would 100% recommend!!

A fantastic day riding the ocean waves

This was such a fantastic day. The 4 WD along the beach was amazing with the stunning shoreline and the kayaking was such fun and incredible to see all the wildlife - about 40 dolphins playfully swimming very close to us around the boats. Just amazing to be out there on the ocean with them in a natural way ! Our guide was just great - so informative, helpful and fun ! We loved the day !
