Itinerary

After morning pickup at 9am from your Delhi hotel, ride in your private air-conditioned vehicle to Old Delhi.

Stop first at Jama Masjid, built by Emperor Shah Jahan, and the largest mosque in India, with a courtyard that can hold as many as 25,000 worshippers.

Next, travel by rickshaw through the bustling streets of the Chandni Chowk bazaar. In the late morning, pass the Red Fort as you drive to Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi that marks his cremation site.

Have a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, then head back to New Delhi to see Qutub Minar Tower, which dates to the 11th century, followed by a stop at India Gate, a massive stone arch that stands 138 feet (42 meters) tall. It honors the more than 70,000 Indian soldiers who perished while fighting in the British Army.

Finish your tour with time for shopping at a local bazaar before your guide returns you to your hotel in the early evening.

Nothing prepares you for the discomfort or lack of space in a rickshaw. The mosque was a must see, built by Shah Jahan the same guy of the Taj Mahal. Seeing the place where Gandhi lived and where his life was ended, just an added dimension to the Gandhi tour I had the previous day. Please check to see what your tour includes. Delhi traffic hectic so tour was diverted to the Sikh Temple but after the Mosque one did wander just where this fitted in but learning a bit about this religeon was interesting. We stopped for the inclusive lunch and the food was delicious except my chicken tasted off- Our final stop and my most dissappointing stop of the day was the Market which was inside a building and upon entry you just knew that it was going to be expensive. I was so disappointed in my guide but he said that this was recommended by his company.

Fue bueno el tour pero el guía estaba muy limitado con el idioma, tenia predisposición pero falta mas amplitud. Respecto de los puntos recorridos y características del servicio excepto lo comentado el resto muy bien. Recomendable
