A great day in Varanasi

I very much wanted to see Varanasi, but only had a day available. Vinay and his team made it happen; the sacred Ganges, the pilgrims on the riverfront ghats, the city backstreets. Vinay helped me understand the importance of Sarnath to Buddhist pilgrims. A very memorable day, if you're willing to make an early start and get back to Delhi fairly late. Be sure to check with the tour organizers early, as the Delhi-Varanasi flight schedules seem to vary -

Probablement un des endroits les plus magiques et les plus incroyables d' Inde. L' excursion sur les bords du Gange est incroyable. Pour le reste, ca ressemble à beaucoup d' autres villes indiennes. Dommage que le guide vous emmene toujours dans des echopes pour acheter des etoffes, des herbes, des parfums... ceci n' a aucun interet. Le dejeuner etait tres mauvais et l' endroit pas adapté - venez préparés avec quelquechose à grignoter !
