Amazing sites, but horrible guide ruined the experience.

This was not a good trip. In fact its not a stretch to say that their employees totally ruined the experience for me. It started with the driver, Vivek, chewing tobacco. He chewed tobacco constantly on the ride both ways. The smell and sounds were abhorrent. Then we pick up the guide, Ali, in Agra and go to the Taj. He pushed and rushed me through. Wouldn't let me take my time or enjoy views or anything. He rushed through and took pictures and said "okay now we have to hurry and go because lunch is ending." Well that was false because people were still coming to lunch by the time I finished. I don't know what his motive or endgame was, but it certainly was not my experience. He did not "allow" me any time to walk around or really soak it in, and told me souvenir shops do not exist. The ad for this tour says "3 hours" at the Taj Mahal. I was really looking forward to that, but Ali didn't even let me stay for ONE hour. So, far as I am concerned, the tour I paid for was not delivered, and I feel totally cheated on this experience, which is the reason I came to India. Ali also started pressuring me to give him a 5-star review before we even left for the drive home. Why would I ever give a review of an experience before the experience is finished? He bugged me 3 times about it before I had to raise my voice to get him to leave me alone, saying "I'll do it when I get back." Then on the drive back Vivek didn't seem to care at all about just driving safely. He spent more time looking at his phone than the road and spent most of the drive going 30-40km under the speed limit while playing on his phone, trying to change music, and answering every call and text as it came in. Meanwhile, the tobacco use was continuous, as he said "boring road. Need to be awake." Google maps said 3 hours 22 minutes to get home, but it took over 4 hours because of Vivek's horrible driving. At one point a tuk-tuk passed us in the slow lane. He also apparently forgot about to drive a car with a clutch, as he stalled 7 times as we were getting back into Delhi in the traffic. On the whole, this was a horrible experience and I feel like it has wasted my entire trip to India. Both of them were extremely unprofessional and obnoxious...and although the sites in Agra were amazing, I got less than half of the promised time there thanks to the unprofessional guides. I wrote to the company who agreed that their actions were unacceptable, but even with that, refused to give me any kind of refund. Sounds like rot at this place starts at the top, so I'd definitely avoid this company for a Taj tour.

Fantastic Agra Experience

Our trip to Agra was amazing, thanks to the travel company and our guide, Hyder. He made the visit to the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Baby Taj incredibly insightful with his deep knowledge and engaging stories.
