A perfect day in Old Delhi

Inside view of Old Delhi seeing the mosque's. temple, Red Fort. Tarik provided incredible historical insight in this fantastic walking tour. I always felt safe and never rushed.

Guide Tariq gave a comprehensive, informative tour of Old Delhi--a real crash-course in India for a recently arrived tourist. We explored Jain and Sikh temples and rode tuk tuks and rickshaws, with Tariq deftly navigating the crowded streets; it was exhilarating and overwhelming in a good way. Note: tour includes only a glimpse of the Red Fort, not entry to the full site.

Great day in Old Delhi

We spent the morning on the Old Delhi heritage walking tour. We walked and saw mosques, temples, heritage sites, and markets (spice, tea, carpets, jewelry, etc). We took a couple of Tuk Tuk rides to help get around. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable: We had a shortened amount of time because of a flight we needed to catch, and our guide made sure we made the best of it. There was nothing missed. I highly recommend this tour if you want to walk and see sites.

After spending 18 days in India and going on countless guided tours, I can say with confidence that Tariq is the best tour guide in India! He was our driver and guide. Tariq is knowledgeable, professional, funny, and speaks fantastic English. We explored the depths of old delhi aka Shahjahanabad. Tasted AMAZING food that DID NOT make us sick, and saw things that were indescribable like a snake charmer in the back corner of a narrow street. I wish I would have found Tariq on day 1 of my trip, but I am so glad we found him for this tour! I highly recommend you take this opportunity to tour with Tariq and really learn about the culture from a local while still feeling safe.

Fantastic experience

Such an amazing experience walking thru the many streets and alleys of Old Delhi. My guide, Rahis Kahn, explained everything that we were seeing, which included some not the very old architecture the buildings were made out of... and took me through the many narrow alleys this place is made up of. He made sure I was safe, and constantly was asking if I was enjoying the tour. He took me to the int'l spice market, where I was able to get all that I wanted. His driver, Vinod, showed up early for the tour, and drove us safely around the crazy traffic Delhi is made up of. Highly recommend this particular tour, as you will be fascinated by all the things you see.

Unforgettable Old Delhi

Wonderful experience. We were picked up on time at our hotel. Our guide was very personable and spoke excellent English. The walking tour was an eye-opener. Narrow streets and alleys impossibly overflowing with shops, shopkeepers, pedestrians, motorbikes, rickshas, bicycles, handcarts stacked over 6 feet high, random dogs and cows, many people carrying huge packages and sacks on their heads, never-ending motorbike horns. It was an assault on the senses; organized chaos. Yet it all works. Commerce is bustling. Our guide took us through the wedding market area: store after store of gowns and suits; the jewelry market area and most memorably the spice markets. He explained everything about the areas we were visiting, the history, and what to expect as we walked. Incredibly colorful throughout the whole tour. The sidewalks are packed and crossing the streets would be fool-hardy without your guide. After the markets we went by tuk-tuk to the Sikh Temple, another memorable experience, where they give free meals to 25,000 people per day. All the workers are volunteers; all food is donated. We visited the kitchen and watched preparation pf hundreds of gallons of lentil soup and thousands of sheets of naan bread. That taught us much about the charitable precepts of the Sikhs. This tour was an awesome experience if you don't mind a bit of walking and the never-ending din of the city. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour around new and old Delhi

Tariq is a great guide of Delhi! We really enjoyed our tour which took in some interesting sights and experiences in both new and old Delhi. Prompt pick up from our hotel and a comfortable journey in an air conditioned car were included. We saw so much more than we would on our own. I thoroughly recommend!
