Our driver got us here that's the best thing to say. The communication beforehand was poor. I had tried to confirm our destination hotel as it was beyond Rishikesh itself. We had to chase the company to find out what was happening and they were responsive when we did. Our driver made contact the morning of the trip but said he didn't speak English. When he arrived the car was small so our suitcases were hoisted onto the roof and off we went. The driver was a true taxi driver and negotiated the traffic fearlessly it seemed but it was a bit scary at times. He stopped for us to have a second breakfast after about two hours out of 5.5 but didn't stop again. As he drove us through Rishikesh he said he needed an extra 500 IRs for tolls. We didn't really mind but I'd rather have sorted all that out before we left. So, 3 stars for getting us here but it wasn't a great experience.

Be careful. The driver I was with kept adding to the fair. The car was old and run down. As a single female I recommend finding different taxi. This driver I had was gross hacked up phlegm, took a number 1 in view. Was gross

Bad experience

We had an overall bad experience with this transfer. The communication was initially good, and we asked to change the pick up location by ~2km which was accepted and we appreciated. However as the driver came, we noticed that the car conditions were really bad. There was a smashed windscreen, there was no storage space in the trunk, and all luggage had to be squeezed between passenger seat and back seats. Seatbelts could not be used because the buckles were buried by the seat cover, and when we asked to take them out, the driver said it was not possible. No water provided as per mentioned in the booking. I asked for a loo stop and found a place 10 minutes away from where we were, but the driver didn’t want to stop there. The stop he wanted to go to 30 minutes after. At lunch we set a time to be back at the car (30 mins after), but the driver didn't return to the vehicle after lunch time for about 20-30 mins. He was hands-off from the steering wheel multiple times to make calls, text and scroll on Facebook. Also, he avoided toll gates without saying - by driving onto dodgy backroads and farmland. Does not recommend.

Alles lief perfekt und pünktlich ab, dee Fahrer war ein Wunder an Gelassenheit und Kompetenz, auch in schwierigen Situationen nicht aus der Ruhe zu bringen, freundlich und zugeeandt. (z.B.lange Suche nach dem versteckt gelegenen Hotel in Rishikes, bei strömendem Regen und fast völligem Stillstand des Verkehrs)
