The Negombo lagoon is a must see on arriving in Sri Lanka and a taste of what’s to come. This was a well put together and good value excursion, the timing of which depends on the tides of the lagoon as you get out and have a walk on the sand and amongst the mangroves. It was great to get a first taste of the wildlife, history and food that was to come on our tour of this amazing island. Our guide was really knowledgeable and looked after us well. Even the tuk tuk guys were great. Highly recommend.

Tuktuk pickup from your hotel to the canal where you get on the boat and head to the lagoon. You have a lovely fruit picnic on a sandbank about halfway. Recommend hats and sunscreen as whilst you're shaded in the boat when you get out to walk and also have the picnic it can get really hot. We saw/fed monkeys, saw a monitor lizard, a number of eagles and lots of other birds, fish a crabs.
Really worth doing, it's a great way to spend a few hours.

This tour was so much fun and there are surprises along the way that they do not advertise! The Tour manager was excellent and spoke excellent English and is very knowledgeable. The boat ride was so interesting with a trip to the harbors and the ocean along with the canals. I loved every moment of it!!! Definitely worth the time and money! I highly recommend. To anyone visiting Negombo!

Great experience! Terrific guide who explained things along the way, morning tea was plentiful and saw a great deal of wildlife most of which spotted by the guide or boat operator such as snakes, monkeys, and lizards.

Great tour of the lagoon and mangroves. Delicious fruit morning tea, and I loved the fresh oyster straight from the lagoon. Knowledgeable, friendly guides, gave lots of history of the area and identified the birds. Saw some monkeys and a water monitor too

Wonderful trip! Our guide, Raugh, arrived to our hotel on time and was very courteous. He asked us about ourselves and told us about himself. We rode via TUK TUK to the canel where we caught the boat and met the boat captain. They worked well together. The trip on the water was relaxing. Because we are birders, he took the time to identify the birds for us and circled back if we didn’t get a good look. Fruit on the lagoon was a sweet bonus. We saw the Toque Macaque monkeys who came to visit us on the boat. Thank you for a fabulous first day in Sri Lanka!

The great introduction to Colombo, Sri Lanka. My thanks to Raju and Mihndu for a memorable start to my holiday. Spent a nice half a day on the water. Saw various birds, cute monkeys and a very large lizard - water monitor. Snack stop was very welcome - fruit platter and coconut water from the real coconut.
