I was in Nanjing for an educational program, and had one unexpected day to myself. I felt like I needed to see the city, but didn't know where to start. I paid for a solo trip, and it was worth every penny.
The highlight was my tour guide Lily. The first thing she asked was my style and speed of sight seeing, and she catered to it.
I saw Xiaoling Tomb, Ming City Wall, Chaotion Palace, Confucius Temple and Nanjing Massacre Memorial. That was a lot, and she rushed rushed to make it happen, but it didn't feel rushed at the sights.
I was traveling by myself, but Lily's personality made it feel like I was sight seeing with a friend.
The driver was also amazing - but he didn't speak English so I didn't get to know him - but I know that this couldn't have happened without him.
All in all, it was a true 5 star experience from start to finish.

Emily was great and she took us to the Nanjing Massacre Museum - Let us forgive but never forget - and also the Ming City Walls, the Chaotian Palace and the Confucius Temple. All in all we did it in a relatively leisurely pace and she catered well with the "level of appreciation" of my teenage kids.
