Trekking across the Sahara Desert on a camel, with the setting sun as a backdrop, is a bucket-list adventure for many travelers to Morocco—but getting there can be difficult without a car of your own. To solve the problem, this camel riding tour provides round-trip transport from Merzouga, so you're out on the dunes before you know it. Ride a camel to the top of the highest point for panoramic views across the desert, and snap photos as the disappears beyond the horizon.

It's not a long ride which was fine by me actually. Then a short hike up a taller dune. If you have bad knees like me it will be hard.

It was an experience that laster about 1 1/2 hours.
It was a short dromedar ride to the dunes for sunset and back.
There was no tea or sand boarding.
The guide tried to sell us souvenirs afterwards for his poor families lifelihood.

We would like to gently clarify a couple of points for future travelers. The sandboarding activity is indeed an optional part of the adventure that we offer to all guests at the start of the tour. As we understood your group preferred a more relaxed experience, we did not insist on this activity to ensure your comfort.
Regarding the tea, we are happy to provide complimentary mint tea for guests who arrive early at our meeting point hotel before the tour begins. As this is a courtesy and not a standard part of the tour itinerary, it is dependent on the schedule and arrival times.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the guide and will use it for further training. We hope the highlight—the beautiful desert sunset—was a memorable moment for you.

Very cool experience! Sunset over the dunes was amazing to see. The camels were fun to ride. Make sure to bring a scarf and water before the trip. Only thing is that this tour was in a small group for us and wasn't private, but we didn't mind this too much.

Nice guide, friendly reception. Camels were easy to "ride". Time was scheduled at 4.30pm, but was poseponed by 1/2h due to sunset time.

Très belle expérience. Seul bémol sur l'heure du départ de la balade et sa durée puisqu'on est resté sur les dromadaires 30 minutes (aller/retour) et que l'on attend sur les dunes pendant 1h30 que le soleil se couche.
