Our tour guide was Anne. She was brilliant, full of knowledge and ethuiasm. She answered all our questions in detail with history & human touch, including moments of great humour - jolly good! Highly recommend her as a guide to have a lovely city tour.

Our 2 hour guided walk with Raphy was wonderful. Lille has so many more hidden stories and interesting architecture than we had first appreciated.
The walk was flat and an easy stroll, even on the cobblestones. Raphy was very attentive with stairs, traffic, shade etc.
The Lille Cathedral was a highlight - having seen it from the outside we probably wouldn’t have entered! Understanding some of the history and architecture of this highly unusual cathedral was terrific.
We also appreciated Raphy’s (comprehensive!) list of recommended ‘things to do and see” in Lille.

Our tour guide, Raphy, started off the experience on a good foot by taking the time to send a message to us ahead of time to be able to find out our interests so he could prepare the tour to be tailored to our family. He did a fantastic job of intertwining stories from the past to the present and painting a picture of how the city has changed over time. He also told stories of what it’s like to live in the city as a local, and pointed out lots of fun, unique Easter Eggs hidden in the architecture of the city. He provided several excellent recommendations on where to go and what to do around the city after the tour. Overall, Raphy made sure the tour was very easygoing and a light environment, with well delivered and tangible information.

Although our guide was lovely, after touring Brussels, Brugge, Ghent, and Antwerp, Lille did not have the same historical interest or sites. Had we realized this in advance, we would not have gone there.

We had a new guide. Very sweet, appeared to be prepared. English was a challenge. This made the tour hard to enjoy. She did all she could to make it enjoyable but without good language skills, it did not work out.

Lille is a gem, with some rough edges. A city that has been conquered and reimagined over several centuries, it has architectural charm to spare. Walking here is delightful and there is so much to see that everyone will find something that interests them. Rafi was our guide and he made the walking both informative and rich with history.

We had a lovely tour with Raphy around Lille, visiting such interesting and unique places. Definitely recommend this tour when you arrive at Lille to see everything but to also get great tips for restaurants, wine bars, patisseries and beer squares. The cathedral was an unexpected highlight and thoroughly enjoyed his stories at each location we visited. 10/10 experience!

Raphy was an excellent tour guide. Lille has a fascinating history (which I knew nothing about prior to the tour). I enjoyed the thoroughness of Raphy’s information but also the way in which he told the history. The tour flew by as I was entertained with details that made each stop interesting.
