What an amazing tour! If you’re in Ksamil, I highly recommend taking this tour. Learning about the mussel process was fascinating, and the dishes prepared with the mussels were absolutely delicious. Our guide was fantastic and made the experience even more memorable.

This feels like a very authentic experience. We enjoyed learning about mussel farming from the captain. We got to debeard a bucket of mussels on the boat ride. I was hoping we’d get to help cook the mussels so we could learn a bit about cooking techniques but the restaurant prepares them and brings out the mussels. The meal was excellent. The ride back at sunset was lovely and relaxing. The starting and ending point is a close walk to the fun beach area in Ksamil.
We had such a great time!! Captain Dajko made the experience an absolute blast. One of our favorite afternoons from the whole trip!
Due to the season, there were no mussels to pick, wash and eat so the experience was very limited…We had a small tour by boat and then ate on the beach and this ended up to be a very expensive dinner for what was offered.
We also add that the tour started an hour later than planned, we were informed in advance but still was a bit inconvenient for our plans…and the boat almost left without us despite being there 30min earlier…so overall not a great afternoon. A bit disappointing given the high reviews we read.

We do feel sorry for disputing your planes but as the night takes more hours than day, for the fully sunset catch on the way back we do moves and the starting time.
Small tour boat we do call it exclusive group tour with not more than 8 people on the boat. the reason is to be natural.
As for the mussels, we do have till end of October, it is true that it is the end of the season, and at this period we do transport them from the lake to the sea, it is another delta, where the water is colder than on the lake. By fun we say: mussels are on vacations. But we do the process fully as we do normally.

Really good trip. The boat ride around the lagoon was good in its own right, interesting the learn about the farming and cleaning the mussels the great hospitality for dinner.
The Mussel Tour was absolutely incredible. My trip to Albania has been amazing, and this has been the best excursion I've experienced here.
The captain was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and personable, making the entire experience unforgettable. I can't wait to visit the restaurant and see the captain again next year.

Fabulous experience. Boat tour from Ksamil across the lake, picking up mussels along the way to a tiny restaurant on a quiet beach. Best mussels I’ve ever eaten - raw, barbecued and steamed with wine and local oregano.
Don’t make the mistake I made and think that the tour starts at Butrint Archaeological park (happily less than 30 mins back by bus).

This is a pleasant and relaxing boat ride with an interesting explanation of mussel farming as we boat around the lake and then go to a quiet beach where the mussels are prepared three different ways.

In early summer, this tour leaves from right in front of Butrint park and is very easy to find. Ilio explained the life cycle of farmed mussels and we met mussel farmers and fishermen. It was beautiful and relaxing! After debearding the mussels, we visited Livia restaurant and feasted on them. An absolutely wo of experience!

We had an amazing experience on the mussels tour! Our guide was knowledgeable, and we got out to work de-bearding the mussels. The restaurant that we stopped at to make the mussels was family run, and each way to prepare the mussels was better than the other. As we were heading back, the sun was just starting to set making a gorgeous ride back. You could feel the genuine love and appreciation for the farming and cooking of the mussels from everyone involved. We were treated like family, you will as well when you take this tour.

This was a great experience! You learn about mussel farming and are taken out on the Butrint lake on a small boat. The restaurant they take you to is open air on the other side of the lake. You have a few moments to swim before lunch/dinner is served. The food was delicious and so fresh!

Our trip was great, the guide was soo friendly and knew so much to answer all of our questions. He made it fun and the mussels we got to eat were delicious. De bearding the mussels was fun and great to be able to get involved. Lots of time to relax on the island around dinner and we even made it back to catch sunset in the boat on our ride home!

I definitely recommend this tour. The tour guide Antonio was really nice and knowledgeable. After showing us where the Mussels grow and teaching us about how they are farmed, we could touch and clean some mussels while we proceeded (still by boat) to the restaurant, where we could take a quick swim in the beautiful beach in front.
We ate 3 different Mussels dishes, with a salad, water and some wine. Best Mussels I've ever had. The scenery is just amazing, the atmosphere of the place is of a simple and joyful life, which combined perfectly with the food- simple and amazing

Terrible, they canceled on us twice and also just minutes before starting. We organized two days of vacation around this activity and they notify us at the last hour (literally, we returned from a beach 2 hours away for this activity and they notify us when we are at the apartment already prepared to go). They canceled the first time and ask us to reorganize it ourselves, when the activity stated it was completely full until Saturday. Even so, I book it again for Saturday. I am the one who asks if it is going to take place in the morning since they do not tell me anything, and my surprise is that they tell me no again, but if I hadn't asked, they wouldn't even notify you. I find it incredible that you come on vacation for 5 days and organize your day around certain activities and these people cancel it on you at the last minute, as if you had time to spare. To this day, I still do not have the refund of the money for the payments I made (€214), neither of them. Honestly, I am not going to recommend it to anyone and, of course, a very bad experience with this tour operator; booking with them is a risk that you will end up with no plans at all. We are leaving tomorrow, so we are left with nothing to do. So, any Spaniard who comes should know what to expect.
