Able to watch the Big 5 in their own environment. This is a unique experience completely different to a zoo. On the way back we took the Panoramic route for some breathtaking views. The park guide, Happiness, and that is her real name,was fantastic. Our driver for the round trip from Johannesburg was Loyd who was patient with us and made of feel safe. Overall a great experience. Fabulous but let down by travel company

Fantastic trip , fantastic driver and guide , so why 1 star , well read on . 5 mins into tour we were informed by phone to driver from Norman that there was a demonstration at Kruger and therefore had to change trip . This resulted in us having to do day and sunset safari back to back , a 16 hour day , when they should have been separate days . We also landed back in Joburg 5 hours early on 3rd day . We then heard our driver getting another job during the time we had paid for . By the way , we must have asked a dozen people at hotel and Kruger Park , there was no unrest or demonstration . Norman offered no compensation , Viator don’t seem interested , so no more Viator after this holiday I think . Kruger was superb though .

Was not our intention to let you down, this was because of the rumored demonstration on the way to our destination as explained to you, and you were not only explained, we also given you an opportunity to play part in decision making. We have followed on your final choice to the options offered of which all went well and no any of the activities missed. I also investigated the other Job offered to the driver or our guide, can't find any that interrupted the tourist guide to successfully execute his task assigned in you according to your final suggestion. We thought you understood our plea to all changes we both collaborated. Though I apologize on your misunderstanding but I still welcome your input that led the tour to be fabulously executed. If we never explained to you and never done to your preferred choice surely we should be regretting now. I still stands on my words to collaborate with all our guests in challenging situations and do as they want. Thank you again.

Khongi was fantastic! He went over and beyond to exceed our expectations. We knew from other reviews this would be a great experience but we had no idea what we were in store for! He was timely, approachable, accommodating, professional and has a great personality. He helped us to get to the places we needed and helped us to understand a lot of history in the country. Throughout the trip he drove us and also shared meals with us. If you’re a young group or couple we recommend requesting him.

We had an incredible experience with our driver, Kohngi, on our trip to and from Kruger National Park for our safari. From start to finish, Kohngi made the journey enjoyable and seamless. He was not only knowledgeable, but also engaging and funny, keeping us entertained with interesting facts and stories throughout our ride. His attentiveness was greatly appreciated – he made sure we had plenty of breaks, and kept us well-hydrated and fed with food and water along the way. It was clear that he cared about our comfort and enjoyment, and we felt well taken care of the entire time. We highly recommend him!

One of the life time experiences

The Safari is fine, it’s really one of the life time experiences. But considering the hotel that Viator put us in, I would say it’s overpriced. Actually Sabie river Lodge is fine , except it is aged and the room we stayed in needs a major upgrade, despite it is clean and all the staff are very nice. The point is; we won’t pay almost 2k for a 2 stars. We use Viator’s services to avoid getting traveler’s common mistake and this time Viator has let us down. If we are getting a 2-stars hotel, at least let us know when we make purchase it’s a crucial information for consumers. So, I would recommend the tour but not by the package provided by Viator. You are taking advantage of travelers who don’t have knowledge of local situations.

We never had such a review from our many guests been in this Lodge. We find it necessary to revisit the lodge to check the veracity of the review. To clear the air this is not a 2 star lodge is a 3 star one. Surely to get back to you after room inspection. I remember you were in room 3. It is really saddening when having such a review. If it is true the room you were provided was old we will make sure it doesn't happen again to our guests. Surely to get back to you after we have inspected the room 3 and other rooms as well. Wow! what a great experience! Lucky was our guide and driver. He shared his wonderful country with us and made sure everything was organized and anything we needed was taken care of. Kruger sunset and full day game drive was outstanding. The park is amazing with viewings of many birds, reptiles and wildlife in their natural habitat. The panoramic tour was also stunning with gorgeous views and great information from Lucky. The accommodation at Perry’s Bridge was also outstanding, and the staff there were very kind and attentive. Great care was taken to make sure we had the best experience possible. I cannot recommend Shalala tours highly enough. Thank you Lucky and Norman!!

SO glad we did this!!! Was there anything disappointing? NOT a single thing! Our driver was fantastic, the van was excellent and comfortable. It’s hard to pick out what was the best Kruger tour, sunset or the full day. Like choosing your favorite kid! We saw all sorts of great animals. Our hotel, Perry’s Bridge Hollow and the restaurants and shops surrounding it were excellent. A bit of advice on a couple of things; clothing, layer up!!! Once the sun goes up or down you will want to be prepared! Nights get very cold fast and once the morning sun comes up it heats up! Oh, make sure you have plenty of South African currency to tip folks. If you give them anything other than Rands the locals get ripped off to the tune of almost 50% to exchange your currency for Rands.

Our tour guide, Lucky, was amazing. So knowledgeable and helpful. He was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our discussions with him. We learned so much about the area, Kruger National Park, the animals, the people and cultures of Africa. He was extremely dependable and we felt safe and well taken care of.

Perfect Kruger experience

This was a life-long dream of ours, to visit Kruger. We enjoyed spending time with our guide, Norman, who picked us up at our hotel, and arranged every detail of our stay and game drives. The hotel he arranged was excellent, the food was great, he made sure we had knowledgeable guides within the park and that we were met each day and transported door to door. The game drives were superb. We saw more wildlife than we imagined was possible, and learned a lot about the animals as well. This is a memory I'm going to treasure.

We were lucky to have Norman being our guide for the trip to Kruger, the journey took about 5 hours from Johannesburg and he is very experience and knowledgeable. On the third day he took us to Graskop Gorge and Bldye River Canyon , these are the two itineraries that you must not missed. It was a journey that we both enjoyed and a remarkable journey.

3 day Kruger and Panorama Tour

We had a wonderful 3 day tour up to Kruger from Johannesburg! Norman picked us up at our hotel and was attentive and informative on surroundings areas on our long drive to and from Kruger. He was always considering our needs and he was extremely helpful in ensuring that everything was just right for us. We enjoyed a sunset safari and were able to spot a number of animals. The next day we set out on our full day safari with Jeffrey and we were fortunate to see 4 of the big 5. Only the lion was a no show, however it was a very hot day and they were likely sleeping in the shade. We saw many different animals we had never seen before. We also got really up close to a Rhino, Elephant, Giraffe and a Leopard. We were delighted with our tour. Jeffrey was a great guide. Our accommodation was beautiful at Hippo Hollow and the staff were fantastic. Seeing the Rondavels and Blyde River Canyon were also a huge highlight. We would definitely recommend this tour and also a big shout out to Norman for his exceptional and attentive service.

Amazing experience. We got picked up right on time from our hotel in Johannesburg, and our guide was great. He was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our stay at the hotel near the park was amazing, clean, friendly staff, good food. Overall 100% worth your money. I would recommend this company and this tour to all my friends. Our safari experience was amazing and everything I had hoped it would be.

Nous avons demandé, par intermédiaire de Viator, la compagnie Nhlalala Travel d'organiser notre voyage et nous en sommes trés satisfait. Nous sommes allés visiter le parc Kruger pendant deux jours pour un safari du coucher du solei et un autre en journée. Le troixieme jour nous avons parcouru la route panoramique avec un arret à God's Window et Blyde River Canyon. Les services etaient conformes à l'annonce et notre guide, Norman, était trés professionnel , ponctuel et trés attentif à nos besoins. L'organisation était parfaite et nous n'avons pas eu à nous inquiéter des modalités pratiques de notre séjour. Nous vous recommandons cette compagnie pour la qualité de son service.
