This Grand Teton wildlife tour begins at your Jackson Hole hotel, where your local guide will transport you to Grand Teton National Park.
Upon entering the snowy and scenic park, join your guide in scanning the landscape for movement and signs of wildlife, and since your knowledgeable guide knows right where to look, there’s a good chance of spotting a wealth of wildlife from bison to eagles to elk. Bighorn sheep are also common in Grand Teton National Park, as are moose, mule deer, coyotes, pronghorn antelope, and wolves.
Afterwards, experience a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the heart of the National Elk Refuge. Your guide will discuss how the herds of elk migrate all the way here from Yellowstone. This refuge stretches across 24,700 acres (9,996 hectares). In addition to being the elk’s winter home, it also plays host to 47 mammal species and 175 species of birds.
Finally, after a day of searching for wildlife and celebrating the beauty of nature, your Grand Teton day trip concludes with a warm, comfortable ride to back to your Jackson Hole hotel.

We are so glad that we booked this excursion! Our tour guide, Mark, was incredibly knowledgeable about all things Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons. He was cognizant of the needs of the group and met them. We were picked up from our hotel and immediately off to see wildlife! The Elk Refuge is a Jackson Hole experience you do not want to miss! He also chose a great spot for lunch!

Wear layers as the van is warm but each time you’re outside you will need to bundle up.
We saw several animals: golden eagle, bald eagle, big horn sheep, coyotes, elk, moose…etc

My wife and I were initially worried about the tour being crowded and difficult to see the animals. We ended up being with one other couple and our tour guide, Kevin. We LOVED the smaller group and how accommodating Kevin was when we spotted animals along the route. He was very knowledgeable and kind. The tour offered snacks, drinks, and hand warmers should we need them. We each had a set of binoculars as well. We got to have lunch at Dornan’s which had an AMAZING view of the mountains and the food was delicious. We loved that Kevin was able to AirDrop us photos of the animals he took with his spotting scope. Overall, a fantastic tour. Would definitely do it again!

Thank you Kevin for a wonderful tour! We were able to see a decent amount of wildlife! Keep in mind this isn’t a zoo so what wildlife you see will be different daily. We enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch and enjoyed the wagon ride through the ek refuge.

My family traveled to Jackson Hole for a ski trip, and I took my oldest son (18) with me on this adventure. It was AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend this adventure to see the beautiful area of Wyoming. I was blown away by the views and up-close encounters of the wildlife. Our guide, Ron, was amazing - he kept very good company with the people on our tour and had a wealth of information, having lived in the area for a long time. I would not hesitate to take this tour again when in the area. We really loved it!

What an amazing day catching breath taking views and seeing so much wildlife! Our guide, Kevin, went above and beyond to make sure we saw wolves, sheep, moose, eagles, elk and more. He was so interesting! Never a dull moment with his knowledge and stories. He was very personable and made the tour the highlight of our trip to Jackson.

We were able to see a lot of wildlife including moose, bald eagles, and so many elk. Our guide had tons of interesting information to share. Lunch was at sidewinder and we got to pick from the menu. All was great!

Great tour. Saw a good bit of wild life. Our guide Phil took us to a really great lunch spot. Dornans I would love to go back I liked it that much! The sleigh ride was freezing but that wasn’t anyone’s fault just Mother Nature doing her thing. :) would definitely book again!

We had an awesome experience. Kevin was our guide and picked us up for the morning. He had hot hands and binoculars for us for the day to use. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the animals. He took us to see so many animals and used his spotting scope to see and take pictures. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch that has great views of the mountains. We also did the sleigh ride to see the Elk and again Kevin was so accommodating to bring blankets due to the cold. We can’t say enough great things about our experience! You won’t be disappointed!

This is absolutely the way to go if you want to see the area around Jackson and the Tetons. Neil was our guide and he was absolutely fantastic. He is highly knowledgeable, very fun and engaging and worked really hard to make sure we packed a lot into the day. I am considering doing another tour with them in the summer.

Kelsey K was outstanding! We had a fantastic time seeing elk, coyote, big horned sheep, eagles and the elusive wolves. Could not have been more happy about the experience. Our guide picked us up at the entrance to our hotel on time. We were able to see the sunrise over the elk refuge. Saw many animals including bison, moose, sheep, wolves, elk and eagles. Great experience to learn about the wildlife of the area.

Our guide for this trip was Neil, an informative and amiable person who was extremely well versed in the history of Jackson Hole, Teton National Park, Teton National Forest and the Elk Refuge Center. His wide scope of interests include camping, fishing, hunting and mountain climbing. His entertaining way of providing the background and intricacies of the migratory habits of the animals we saw made the day seem way too short.
