This was a nice experience. Not only did my guide motivate me to bicycle all the way to Homer's tomb, but gave me a lot of information about the island's (Ios) history, ancient and recent. The trip included a visit to an orchard owned by my guide and his wife, and I got to taste some of it's delicious produce. We even visited the ancient site of Skavros. The guide was very generous about sharing his own life and engagement with the island's history and tourism industry, and had the ability to make facts and myth come alive. I would very much recommend this tour; it is definitely worth it.

My friends and I traveled to Greece for the first time this summer, and George made our trip a memorable one! It was a pleasure to be able to see the entirety of Ios while learning about the history and authentic culture of the island. If you like getting active and learning about the places you are vacationing at- this would be the perfect tour for you! George even led us to his garden where we picked figs and learned about all the hard work that goes into sustaining Greek agriculture.
It does require quite a bit of energy, so be prepared by hydrating and eating before you go!

What a day we had!!!
I dont know about you, but i had an amazing time: Beautiful weather, local treats from Ios' nature and of course i was accompanied by 3 beautiful and smart ladies :) who ate the elephant (you know what i mean) one bit at a time.
