Murdoch, our driver and guide, was brilliant. I learned more history from him than I did at school. We visited some really interesting places, the castle being my favourite. It was a great day and I’m glad I booked it
Best excursion on our trip. Murdoch was our guide and told unbelievable stories. 4 fascinating places including the Culloden Battle Field. Picked right up from the port and dropped off an hour early. Murdoch made this day amazing!!!
I was a bit leery about spending seven hours in a bus, but it ended up being one of the best days of our 2 week cruise around the British Isles.
The guide was terrific and there were plenty of opportunities to get off the bus, take pictures, and grab some lunch.
Our favorite stop was the Culloden battlefield because there was an adjacent pasture with highland cows. They are beautiful!

We got to visit all the places on the itinerary & it didn't feel too rushed although a little more time at each place would have been great, we were constrained by the early sailing time of our cruise ship. The pick up point was easy to find at Invergordon - just follow the signs for non-cruise ship tours & cross the road & they were waiting with signs & WOW t-shirts. The trip was good value as it included entry to Cawdor Castle in the price

Ivergordom highlights Tour was about 6.5 hrs. Some outdoor walking involved at the castle on flat surface. Inside of Castle there are some circular steps to navigate. Enjoyed walking in the gardens and the Cafe at the museum. Colin was an excellent guide and very engaging. Lots of good information about the history especially the Jacobites.
