I would highly recommend this tour! My family had an amazing time spending the day out on the water. Symun, (not sure if I spelled his name correctly but I know for sure that it had a “u”before the “n”, skipper was so great! He was very professional and knowledgeable about the boat and the history of Croatia. He totally catered to all of our needs and wants and focused the day around what we wanted to do. He recommended a delicious restaurant for lunch as well! Spend the money for this tour and request Symun, with a “u” , and you won’t be disappointed!

Spend a little more and get a yacht

We were very disappointed in our day. It started with lack of communication of the starting time. No confirmation no communication - Mario Rent wouldn’t answer our calls when we called. Boat was small, old and not very clean for the price we paid. Bluetooth didn’t work and boat reeked of gasoline. Guide wasn’t very knowledgeable just his summer job. For refreshments we had some waters in an old dirty cooler but that was it. For a couple hundred euros more we got a yacht in Dubrovnik and it was fantastic with incredible service I’d reccomend paying up for that then spending a large amount on this. Can’t believe we paid what we paid for the experience we got!

Mario boat was so easy to work with and since we did a private boat made it very easy on scheduling the start time. The skipper Harris was so nice and accommodating and made it a fun and enjoyable day seeing the coast of Hvar and seeing a bunch of coves to swim in

Mario Rents is great. Viator is a ripoff. AVOID them.

Harris the skipper was great. He was engaging and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had fun. Very fun guy. The reason I’m giving the three stars is to hopefully draw a little attention to this review. We had a little issue at the beginning of the tour. There was an engine light in the boat. Boats break, I understand that. We were quickly met with another boat for the day. It was a step down from what we had rented and both skipper’s recommended we go to the office when we were finished for the day, which I did. While under way I checked to see the difference in price between the boats. I went to the Mario rents website and found Viator charged 20% more than Mario rent’s directs pricing. My rental that I paid $1000 for was only $700 had I gone direct. Viator is a very aggressive marketing company, making it hard to find Mario rent direct when using TripAdvisor . I now wonder if the the two companies collude to make it difficult to find Mario rents directly. PLEASE if you read this, know that Viator is just a middleman company. They don’t provide any value except more money for themselves to pocket. Find the company you want services from and book directly from them. Avoid Viator at all cost, unless you enjoy giving money for nothing. Mario rents is fabulous, but Viator is nothing but a leach. I wrote them to express my dissatisfaction with them but heard nothing but crickets in response.

Mario gave us the best day ever. He had great local knowledge, gave us an incredibly smooth ride and even drove off course too give us a better view of passing dolphins. Incredible weather and lunch stop. Highly highly recommend for all types of groups. A can’t miss in Hvar.

The day long tour of Hvar by boat was by far our favorite day during our time in Croatia. Our skipper Simon went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable in the boat and were able to visit all the beaches we wanted to see. He even recommended a great lunch restaurant and beach bar that we traveled to by boat, and both were amazing! We highly recommend this tour of Hvar and also highly recommend Simon. We will remember this incredible day for the rest of our life!
