Karnak was amazing and the tour should have assigned much more time to this site. The Valley of the Kings and visiting the tombs was also brilliant. But the tour was let down by a guide that wasn't engaged and wanted simply to deliver what seemed to be his typical information- much less willing to address ad-hoc questions. The tour was also let down by a very dodgy lunch (chicken was pink int he middle) and I'm sure everyone would have preferred to spend a little more and get some decent food. The visit to the stone shop was a complete waste of time with very poor quality products on sale. The visit to Hatshepsut's tomb was amazing from the outside but tomb did did compare to either the Valley of the Kings or Karnak itself. As for the transport- the minibus was too small, hot and dirty- I picked up scabies from the seat meaning that it clearly hadn't been cleaned. In summary- Karnak and the Valley of the Kings were amazing, but the rest was horrible.
