Mai is wonderful. She texted us even before our arrival. Gave us clear direction. Pick up was easy and smooth. We carried a friendly conversation on the way, she recommended few visiting places. We gave her full 5 stars. We might even have her taking us back to airport.

Only reason I gave this a 4 was because I never received exact instructions of where to meet up UNTIL I called Viator and then the driver texted us where to meet up- I was on my phone and didn't have the reservation# easily, but they found it with my last name- then viator argued with me that the location was sent to me- which it had not been- But the driver was knowledgeable about the sites we saw along the way and we appreciated that!

Our plane was 15 minutes late, we arrived to our pre-arranged shuttle about 15 minutes late. They could not wait for us and left without us. We grabbed a taxi and took a taxi to our hotel.

However, we must clarify the operational needs of our shared-ride shuttle service for all future customers. As you noted in your review, you arrived 15 minutes late for your scheduled pickup time. This is why our shared service must adhere to a strict, non-negotiable schedule. Unlike a private taxi, we cannot hold the shuttle for delayed arrivals, as doing so would cause unacceptable delays for the other guests already on board, who rely on us for timely transportation. This policy is clearly outlined in the booking details. To help ease the impact of your unexpected delay, and despite our policy stating that missed shared-rides due to external factors are non-refundable, we immediately processed a full refund as a one-time gesture of goodwill. We advise any guests who need flexibility due to potential delays to book a private transfer option instead of a shared-ride service, which is better suited for unpredictable schedules. We wish you safe and smooth travels in the future.

I had booked a shuttle pick up from Honolulu international airport to a hotel in Waikiki. Our plane was late which we missed the shuttle and we were rebooked on a 1:00 pm shuttle. We tried to find the pick up spot however there was no signage we were walking around the different car parks trying to find the pick up place. We had asked a number of people including other shuttle operators who, had not heard of IES and were unable to assist. I tried calling and was put on hold, I was then hung up on. I tried calling back again and the message came on saying we are assisting other customers and then the phone went dead again. I then booked a transfer with Roberts Shuttle Service.

We got to the airport early. We weren’t sure where to go meet the car so we called island express. The lady that answered was very professional and polite. She gave me great directions. Mai, our driver, texted me with her make, model and license plate for the vehicle. She also gave me an eta. The vehicle was clean and really nice. Mai was fantastic, she recommended places to eat and gave us some history about the island. We felt like we were on a tour. This was a great experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
