If you like hiking and wildlife spotting, this is the tour for you! We took multiple hikes each was unique in its scenery and wildlife. During our trip, we saw: wombat (2 times), echidna (1 time), wallaby (many times), tiger snake (1 time), quoll (1 adult, 2 juvenile), possum (1 time) and platypus (3 times). We also spotted a variety of birds. Each night the lodging was higher quality than I expected given the price of the tour. Trent is a fabulous guide. We had a lovely trip!

    Great Experience

    SUNSUN_S, Dec 2025
We had a great time. The places we visited are amazing, the company we had and our tour guide Tim was very knowledgeable making our trip so memorable 😊

Hi Sun Sun, thank you very much for leaving us a review of your tour! Yes, Tim is a great guide. Regards, Wild Tasmania Tours.

Outstanding Tasmania exposure in short time

    Carla_M, Dec 2025
Our guide Tim was super knowledgeable and tolerated and answered all of our group's hundreds of random questions across a variety of topics. The schedule covered a great range of mountains, rain forests, waterfalls, countryside, local foods, beaches, coast, iconic spots, walks and more intensive hikes, budget accommodations and unique modern cabins, and everything in between. The mornings were early, but the advantages of beating the crowds was worth it. The tour company could have better warned/prepared us for the variety of conditions. You will need good shoes (my basic running shoes were NOT sufficient for some walks), your feet WILL get wet, and you will likely be rained on, sleeted on, hailed on, wet/drenched, sweating, swimming, and sun exposed - sometimes in the same day and during "summer"! So, bring water resistant hiking shoes, warm pants, water resistant jackets, lots of layers, a hat, a bathing suit, and plenty of sunscreen. Also, Tim has strong opinions, which gives a refreshing history and perspective, but the unquestionable tone could be off-putting to some. I took it as a sign that he trusted our group could handle it with mature discourse, and I enjoyed the vibe and flow of both the tour and the conversation. Overall, the scope is broad, the experiences are representative, and the tour is totally worth it!

    Wonderful trip

    Kirill_F, Nov 2025
It was a fantastic 4 days trip with Tim. He is very professional, calm and knowledgeable, showed us heaps of animals and offered different options for people who wanted to do more challenging things or take it easy. The program is optimal if you are going to see the highlights of Tasmania. And if you have dietary requirements, this company takes care very seriously. I am really happy I did it.

If Trent doesn't get a 5 star then nobody should. He is the absolute best tour guide I've ever had. Friendly. Approachable. Knowledgeable. Fun. I can't think of anything he could do better. Just the best.

Those who like nature in all weathers will get their money's worth. Hiking , watching animals and enjoying the Pacific, just nice to switch off from the stress at home.
