A very interesting tour of Ho Chi Minh. Longe was an excellent guide - passionate and fun with an excellent knowledge of the history of Vietnam. We were shown an eclectic mix of significant historical buildings and some hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. Highly recommended.

Information was good and the guide did his best to keep us in shade in the heat; however, it would be worth extra $$ to have places to sit and rest from the heat. Standing in the heat for 20+ minutes at a time outweighed the benefit of the information.

This 2.5 hour walking tour hits some of the highlights of Saigon and is chock-full of history and cultural contextualization. Our guide Mike is a Vietnamese local with an excellent command of the history as well as being fluent in English. We learned a lot about Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon as first time visitors to Vietnam and I can recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys history and walking around a bustling city with a friendly guide.

Buyer beware this "free" walking tour is misleading, as our guide expect $15-50 USD/person (it's not a recommendation it's an expectation), which I found to be poor value. For that price, a longer, dedicated paid tour would offer significantly more substance. Our experience was inefficient, with 30 minutes wasted waiting for a late participant and another 30 minutes spent in a coffee shop. This left only about an hour to briefly see the listed attractions. I would not recommend this tour given its actual cost and limited substance.

We were lucky enough to be the only two people on this tour which allowed us to go at a comfortable pace and ask lots of questions. We found the meeting point very easily. We found out guide to be very knowledgeable and enjoyed the tour very much.

I highly recommend this tour! Son was a friendly and very informative guide! I especially enjoyed the the hidden coffee bar. After the tour my friends, inspired by the history we learned decided to have Five O' Clock Follies of our own on the rooftop of The Rex Hotel.

What a warm and welcoming experience! Joseph made us feel like we were his family and he was showing us around his 'hood. He was knowledge, intelligent and charismatic. He was caring and thoughtful towards our child whom didn't take the heat so well and even had special treats for her.

Joseph was very informative and nice. He is passionate about what he is showing us and thats a joy see. It felt like a really authentic tour of District 1. He showed us some important landmarks, had us taste and drink local treats in the area and even tested us on what he taught us ane gave us little trinkets as prizes to make sure we are paying attention and true learning is occurring. He also taught me some Vietnamese words to know. It was overall a very good trip and I think he deserves the tip. Especially because of how inexpensive the tour is.

Joseph was a great tour guide. Super friendly and has a great energy about him. Walked a decent amount but he broke it up and also helped us find shaded spots to listen while he gave some history. Took about 2hrs and 15 min total. Along the way he let us sample some local liquor and fried banana. Also helped get water for the group. Would recommend!
