Informative tea tour and tasting with beautiful views

A short drive away from Guwahati (if you take the Sathgaon road through the army camp), the Amchong Tea Estate is a serene green haven away from the hustle and bustle of Guwahati. The guide was informative, took us on a tour of the gardens and factory (even though December is an off season for production), and guided us through different tea grades. Delicious tea and small snacks offered as part of the tour. If they plan to expand as I saw some construction on the way up the hill, hope it maybe a nice wellness/spa place to preserve this serenity. After the constant horns and traffic jams in Guwahati, it really was wonderful to have this tour amidst all this greenery and peacefulness.
