The overall experience was great. The driver was extremely easy to find in an airport in a country I have never been in. I will say the drive up to Lake Atitlan is VERY winding and there are ALOT of speed bumps so just be prepared. The driver was so good about slowing down when the bumps were coming up and navigating the roads of Guatemala, which coming from someone who's driven in Washington D.C. traffic, the traffic and infrastructure here is on a whole other level. Overall, would be book with them again as the communication and transport was excellent!

Just wish there was more information on what shuttle company is picking you up. I asked for the company’s name to verify it was the right shuttle since he only had my name up… for safety reasons of course… and the driver just said “this person” just told me to pick you up. I understand language barriers but out of safety reasons drivers should show more information on what company they work for.

Our bookings come through platforms such as Viator, TripAdvisor, and other partners, and for privacy and security reasons, drivers do not have access to detailed vendor or client information. Their role is to identify guests by name and provide the scheduled service.
That said, we understand your concern. We do provide driver details (name, vehicle, and license plate) in advance when requested, and we will continue improving how we communicate this information proactively to avoid any uncertainty at pickup.
We also apologize for the language barrier, as it may have made the situation more confusing than intended.

My friend and I communicated with and found our driver easily, felt safe and got to our destination in a timely fashion. Herbert stopped for gas when we needed to use the bathroom and grab snacks. I highly recommend!

The short ride from the airport is horrendos and took us over 2.5 hours (a normal occurrence) BUT our driver was courteous, was waiting for us when we exited the airport and an extremely safe driver . I’ve never seen traffic so incredibly bad in my travels throughout the world but this airport transfer was top notch and I’d HIGHLY recommend for anyone who has to endure the nightmare of a ride from the airport .

Our driver was so friendly, and was very easy to find when we arrived at the airport as the instructions were very clear. The roads were blocked due to Semana Santa, but thankfully he got us as close as he could to our hostel. Couldnt have had a better experience!

A really fun and flexible day! We were able to switch up our activities a little to do kayaking and a tour of San Juan instead of the hike. Our guide Antonio Fernando was incredible- he literally went under a pier and into the lake to get my phone that fell out of my pocket when we arrived at San Juan on the boat. We learned a lot and felt very well cared for. 10/10!

It wasn’t so great. I felt like communication could have been better with Viator coordination. Our shuttle also broke down half way and we had to wait over an hour to get picked up by another vehicle. It was pretty stressful. I don’t blame our driver I think he tried to do the best he could. I feel viator should do better with the vehicles to make sure they are safe especially if we are overpaying for transportation.

Quetzal shuttle was excellent. The car was clean, driver was good at driving, and the communication about the ride was clear for pickup. William also helped us adjust our booked ride a bit when we ran into delays and was overall extremely helpful. I would use the same service again next time I come back to Guatemala.

We had an excellent drive from Panajachel to Guatemala City. Our driver was super friendly and courteous. We really enjoyed our conversations with him, even though we spoke little Spanish and he spoke little English. We even enjoyed a few laughs together. I would definitely recommend!

Joshua was extremely cordial and accommodating, even though we arrived a few minutes late to meet our waiting van. From the moment we got in, he was professional, calm, and clearly very experienced.
