Wonderful experience. The captain was super knowledgeable and took us to an incredible spot to snorkel. We also saw the starfish and then went to stingray city. I’m glad we chose a private experience. It was worth it

While there isn’t much prep info given about this trip, the over-all experience was sensational. I recommend getting in touch with the tour guide early on, so you can have clarity about what to expect and what to bring with you.

Captain Ed gave us the most enjoyable experience. We had the best snorkeling - just loads of different kinds of fish. And a memorable experience with Stubbie the stingray!

We had an amazing time, it was just our family of 7 and the captain and it was super enjoyable. We saw starfish and stingrays and snorkeled around a reef that was a favorite of our captains. 5 of us had already done stingray city but 2 of us were new, and it was the best experience for them. The captain was super knowledgeable and friendly and we felt very calm and safe in the water with the stingrays. I would do it again, and I preferred the private charter over the group tour with everyone else, it was calmer.

Boat ride out is very rough. Bring a seat cushion if you’ve got back issues.
Captain Ed made it our experience and gave us plenty of time at stops. Enjoyed interacting with the rays.

Highly recommend this excursion! Mark our guide was amazing and informative. He took us to see stingrays, starfish, and snorkel - away from where all of the cruise ship tours go. 3 hours was a perfect amount of time and the boat comfortably fit six of us. Would definitely book again!

Our captain was amazing... we were running late due to traffic. The Captain was super understanding and didnt cut into our tour time. He was very knowledgeable about the island. We had an unforgettable time snorkeling, seeing star fish and touching and holding the stingrays. Highly recommend!!

Excellent experience! The boat captain grew up on the island and was a wealth of knowledge. He snorkeled with us to show us everything we wouldn’t have noticed. He was very patient for my anxiety around the sting rays. Cannot recommend more!

It was great! Mark was friendly and it was good to be with someone who really cared and knew the stingrays. The stingrays knew him too (especially tattoo). It was an amazing experience. We learned a lot about the island during our trip. The chicken wings at Pirate Grill were delicious and the family was lovely. Definitely worth the money.

An amazing experience…despite a few hiccups on our end! Was the highlight of my family’s trip to the Caribbean. We were on a 7 day Disney cruise and decided to take a chance and book non-Disney excursion for our party of 7. Our cruise ship unfortunately had a medical emergency and was diverted to the keys instead of GC. I was so worried bc our WiFi wasn’t working and we were coming in to GC port delayed. Then our taxi driver got a little lost getting to Aqua Restaurant. Despite all these issues our Ray Dayz captain was waiting for us. Also despite the shortened time our captain made an amazing itinerary keeping in mind the time frame and that our little one can get motion sickness and the waters were choppy that day. We went to see the sea stars and were able to buy amazing chicken from a pirate boat as a lunch since we got in late, then went to a low key spot to see and hold rays. Was truly magical and the 6 and 8 year old haven’t stopped talking about the magical trip!! Love the 24h cancellation policy with Viator, much more forgiving then disneys policy. The boat was clean and had spot for dry storage and a cooler with ice to hold our water bottles. Our captain was a true local with a wealth of knowledge. Definitely recommend!!

We booked a 4 hour private charter with Lazy Dayz Charters and were greeted by Mark, our Captain! He took us to Sting Ray City for a personalized experience that could not have been matched! He knows the Sting Rays so well that he was able to call “Bella” over and she hung out with us for a long time. All of us in the family were all able to kiss her for “good luck” before she took off. I’ve been on the same excursion with a larger charter service but appreciated the personal 1:1 experience that Mark delivered. Mark is a total professional, caymanian born native that knows the island and the water. We felt comfortable as we continued our charter to the coral reef, and Star Fish Point! We got a Mudslide and the amazing chicken wings from the food boat at Star Fish Point. Best wings on the island and the Mudslide was BOMB! We loved our day so much we asked to extend our tour to do the Bioluminescence Bay and he was accommodating for an additional fee! It was the perfect 10/10 night to see the Bioluminescence! We had dinner at Kaibo before we left to Bio Bay! I don’t think we could have had a better experience. A total dream.

Liam was awesome. We had a great time with the stingrays, snorkeling and at starfish beach. He answered a lot of questions has a great personality was great with the kids as well. Everyone in the family from my Father in law, mother in law, wife and 3 children all held a stingray. The experience is a memory that will last a lifetime. Thank you for such a great time.

Our family of six had a wonderful afternoon boating with Mark. He let us guide him as to what we wanted to do and see. We hit the highlights in the Cayman’s-snorkeling at Rum Point Reef, holding starfish at Starfish Point and mingling with the stingrays at Stingray City. Mark educated us on the island and its sea life, and let us feed the stingrays, hold them, and kiss them (for 7 years of good luck!) Mark was a fantastic guide! We would highly recommend this private boating excursion for any group!

Such an amazing experience! Definitely worth it. Went with our 10 month old and 2 year old and Liam was very accommodating to their (our) needs.
Liam is an amazing guide and took us to see all three locations. He provides all the equipment so you’re able to see the beauty under the ocean.

Liam did a great job. Personal boat and great tour of Sting Ray City and starfish point. Very laid back and on our schedule. He even stopped at dock bar for drinks.

It was just my husband and I and we had a great time. Liam was on time and so pleasant the entire time. I had asked to go to the stingrays, the starfish, turtles and coral gardens and indeed we did it all in a super chill Grand Cayman manor. We never felt rushed or crowded. Liam was knowledgeable and above all we felt very safe the entire time. We brought our own Snorkling masks but only because we chose to, otherwise Liam had all other gear ready for us.

Absolutely book this tour! We were a group of 7 adults and were looking for a private and fun experience on the water. This was it! The captain was so knowledgeable and went to spots where there weren’t a lot of other tourists! We had so much fun seeing starfish, sting rays, and snorkeling. We still had time to kill after we had hit those three spots so our captain suggested we go to Kaibo for a drink! It was a great way to cap off our great day!!

As most people have commented about their experience, this company is unreliable. Most people were stood up, we weren’t, they communicated with us about 2 hours before the trip to cancel it citing boat issues.
Thankfully we were able to find something else at short notice. But based on our experience and other people who have posted their reviews, I would not recommend it.

We had 6 adults on the boat with Liam and we all had a great time! Loved the stingrays! Liam taught us all about them and we got to feed, pet and hold them. It was wonderful! We would do it again!

Mark (the fill in captain) was really nice, knowledgeable and personable. The boat was rundown and not in the best aesthetic shape. The stereo didn’t work, whenever the boat would idle, a sensor would beep annoyingly and there were no towels (good thing we brought some). We had a nice time (hard not to in Grand Cayman) but value for the money was not there. Find a nicer boat.

The tour operator was 30min late which did create some initial anxiety. We later learned that a small infant had been on board of the charter prior to ours, and although I understand that this is a reasonable excuse for the delay I do wish the tour operator would have informed us as we had already been on the phone with Viator trying to figure out how to get the charter refunded given that we did not think that we were getting picked up at that point.
Once the charter began, it was mostly as expected. We were taken to the sites that we requested and provided snorkeling gear. The boat itself is comfortable enough, although a bit older and worn.
Perhaps our favorite part of the charter was the interactions with the stingrays. I will comment though that in a place as beautiful as the Cayman Islands I wish that there was more respect for the habitat and wildlife. I was disheartened to see both our captain and the captains of multiple additional ships handling stingrays for 30 or more minutes at a time, something I suspect causes the animals undo anxiety and disrupts the natural ecosystem.
