I only had one day in Granada and this was the perfect tour. I was booked on an Intrepid tour where I only had one day to explore. My guide Gerald modified the existing itinerary so instead of leaving at 8:30 am, he met me at my hotel at noon. I had arrived at 2:30 am and this late departure was much appreciated. I enjoyed everything- the boat ride, the Masaya Night volcano tour and the city tour Gerald was great guide- super responsible, on time, knowledgeable and good company. I highly recommend this tour of Granada, especially if have very limited time.

Can’t put into words how perfect this tour was! My family and I have probably done 50+ tours with Viator and this is in the top 5. Gerald was the perfect guide. The highlight of the tour was when we joked that we wanted a home cooked meal from his family and he actually surprised us and took us to his family’s house for lunch. We did a walking tour around Granada, hiked a volcano, ate lunch with a local family, visited a local town for ceramics, visited lake apoyo viewpoint, then finally did a chocolate tour. I wish we could have booked Gerald for our entire stay in Nicaragua. The day was long and so worth it. Didn’t want the day to end. Thank you, Gerald!

Gerald was absolutely fantastic. It turned out to be just me and my sister on the tour, and he was incredibly attentive, flexible. He was so knowledgeable about the country and his English was absolutely perfect . He put together a very impressive itinerary, and we got to see everything from a chocolate tour to a walking tour to a boat tour all private, just for us in addition to the volcano tour. I have used a lot of different tour groups and a lot of guides, and this was definitely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Absolutely amazing experience, Jerry was on time, really organized and gave us an amazing experience. He’s extremely informative, one might say a history book walking! We would 1000% recommend using his service!! 10/10

The tour guide is the key to any great tour and Gerald was great. Throughly explaining everything as we went and answering all our question. Started the day with a tour of Granada and the market, then took us on a boat ride around the islands. During boat ride we saw lots of wildlife including monkeys. Afterwards we went to Masaya market, then lunch. Ended the trip at the rim of the Masaya valcano. Even got to see the lava bubbling in tge valcano. Gerald was extremely knowledgeable and speaks very fluent English. I will definitely use this company again!

We enjoyed the Granada tour. Gerald was very knowledgeable and spent time at each stop to explain its significance. We made a stop at a local non profit center to see local handicraft. We particularly enjoyed the boat ride to the islands which afforded a view of the local wildlife. The stop at the volcano included a natural history museum which Gerald guided us through. Overall, we made 12 stops and thought the time spent and site choices were well planned.

This tour has it all! City views from a church tower along with tour of a beautiful museum with detailed information on the history, people, and culture of Granada. We also visited Cafe de las Sonrisas which is a must see! Visit to the Volcano was perfect. Our guide knew the best place to stand to see the lava. The boat tour was also one of our favorites, got to see so many mini islands, nature, and native animals on our private boat. Visit to the Masaya market was amazing. We were given time to have lunch and/or shop at the market before heading back to Granada!
Couldn't have asked for a better tour. Especially if you have limited time and need to see a lot in one day, this is the tour to booK! This was certainly a personalized experience. We were given wonderful recommendations on food to try and other places to visit. This tour was put on by Duran Tours Nicaragua. Tour guide was Gerald and he was the best tour guide on our entire trip!
