We had a wonderful time at this class with Susanthi. We started at the fish market on the beach near the Fort and then travelled by tuk tuk to the vegetable market before heading to the restaurant. The class was entertaining and interesting and the food delicious. We cooked a wide selection of curries from the items we selected at the markets. Susanthi is a lovely person and a great host. It is such an immersive way to learn about Sri Lankan culture, through food. We loved it and highly recommend!

We had a great experience at sea waves cooking class. Susanthi was lovely, unfortunately myself and my partner were unwell the day before our cooking class but she was happy change to another day no problem. The class was fun and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this class!

This experience should not be missed! We learned a lot on the Sri Lankan cuisine and how to prepare some wonderful curries, how to make coconut milk and other wonderful dishes! The activity started by visiting the market & teaching us what to look out for. The chef is a wonderful person and she also told us her secret ingredient 🙂 Me and my husband really enjoyed it & she will also send you the recipes for you to try at home. A very worthy experience. We highly recommend ❤️

Great experience! We learned how to cook dhal and tuna curry and 4 other vegetables by choice. Went together through whole stages, from choosing the groceries on the local market to cooking. Experience of seeing the whole cooking process and doing it yourself helps a lot to understand how to use the spices and do it at your hometown. Definitely will cook dhal curry at home in the future!

The cooking experience we had was nothing short of surreal. It was a complete value for money, more bangs per buck guaranteed.
All the technical details of the experience were explained clearly by the host. The communication was just perfect.
The cooking class was educating, all the veggies and seafood were cooked in the perfect SriLankan style. Tips & tricks of cooking were regularly imparted.
The food turned out to be a total treat. SriLankan curries and the rice coupled with fresh shrimps meant we had a jam.
This place is in Unawatuna ( a little away from Galle), the host picks you up from the Dutch Fort Galle.
This is the BEST cooking class in Galle as we were given to understand by talking to a number of locals who were not related to each other or to the host,
Overall, this class would really augment your SL trip and make you feel heavy with the culinary memories.

What a fantastic way to immerse yourself into Sri Lankan culture. The visit to the market place was enlightening and Susanthi gave us a wide range of choices to cook. She is an amazing guide, super friendly, even offered our tuk tuk driver to share our food, we had a brilliant experience and the food was divine. Definitely recommend doing this class.

Misleading information about this being a private group. I booked it for two people. However was aurprised to have 3 more people join in. While the experience of cooking the meal and other arrangements were good, the expectation was for a privatw group which was very disappointing. This should have been informed by the organiser. Otherwise a great experience. Hope to see the private experience removed from the job post which is a misleading statement.
