I was a bit worried at first—the sky was overcast, the winds were high, and the cold was no joke—but Lolli and his team took exceptional care of us. They provided everything we needed to stay warm and safe: water-resistant pants and shirts, sturdy boots, gloves, helmets, and life jackets.
The rapids were the perfect balance of thrilling and calm, making the experience both exciting and enjoyable. I went with my husband and our 19-year-old daughter, and we all absolutely loved the adventure. Lolli and his crew are incredibly well-organized, experienced, kind, and genuinely fun to be around.
We highly recommend this unforgettable way to take in the natural splendor of El Chaltén.

It was an interesting experience, rafting on a glacier river. Exciting, informative & fun! We thought it will be cold but we didnt feel it at all. Raft captains& assistant Tommy were funny & professional. They made sure that we are well briefed on the safety procedure. Overall the whole experience exceeded our expectations and we are happy that we signed up with Comarka for this activity

Very very fun activity with professional guide and even someone with a kayak next to the boat for safety!
Very nice experience BUT the guide took some photo’s for which we had to pay 20.000 (16$) extra, which is ridiculous.. This made the experience a little less nice unfortunately.

This River trip was exceptional and the guides were perfecto! We are experienced rafters and give it high grades! The River itself was running 3+ (there was one portion not run @ 5). This is a great trip for all levels and Lalita and Matteo (father/son duo) are very skilled and personable. Great instruction for new rafters. DO NOT BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE WEATHER. All gear is provided at check-in.

We were worried about the weather condition - high wind and raining. Lolito and his team were exceptional. He was very experienced and an excellent guide. We had a blast. It was above my expectations. I am glad we experienced Patagonia from a different angle.

Fantastic rafting experience, I think class iii? Great for the scenery en route, from a wider valley to a narrower gorge, and above that, majestic tall peaks and valleys. Super convenient as the assembly area is right in town, the rafting start point at the edge of town and the end point 17km downstream a short ride back to town.
Super enjoyable also because the raft leader Lolita and his crew including his two sons Matteo and Tommy were friendly, informative and also have great encouragement during the trip.

This was an amazing experience and a highlight of our trip to Patagonia. It was so much fun and definitely got our adrenaline pumping, but Lolito, Tommy and Mateo are exceptionally skilled and made us feel totally safe through the entire experience. Half our group didn’t have prior rafting experience and it was no problem.

This was a great experience! We got to the meeting point in El Chalten, and the team outfitted us in a fleece sweater, the dry suit, dry boots for our feet, gloves, and a helmet. They gave us the first part of a safety briefing. We then loaded into the van and were brought to our launch spot only a few minutes away. We finished the safety briefing and got in the boats. The next 2 hours was an absolute blast. The guide was helpful and lots of fun. We got to experience good water with varying levels of rapids. Being in the river and looking up the valley and the views of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre was cool after having done hikes the couple days before. It was a really warm day, so toward the end of the rafting we even got to get in the water and float for a little bit. I already recommended this to a fellow traveler who did it a few days later and he loved it too!

If you’re in El Chaltén, do yourself a favor and book a whitewater rafting trip with Lolli and his incredible team. This was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip! Even on a chilly day, they made sure we were warm, safe, and ready for an unforgettable adventure. From the moment we arrived, Lolli’s enthusiasm and professionalism put us at ease. They provided top-notch gear, clear instructions, and plenty of encouragement to get us pumped.
The rapids were thrilling, the scenery was breathtaking, and the energy from the team kept us smiling the whole time. They balanced safety and fun perfectly—you could tell they genuinely love what they do and want you to have the best experience possible. By the end, we felt like pros and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was. This is a must-do experience in Patagonia, no matter the weather. Huge thanks to Lolli and the crew for an unforgettable day!

My three (teenage) kids and I had an amazing time with Loli as our guide and Tomás as our safety kayaker. We went on the last day of their season. It was cold, snowing, with a bitter (and rare) South wind blowing in our faces... but they provided us with wetsuits (including gloves and boots) and plenty of layers of warm clothing, and lots of encouragement, and a thrilling experience! Our hands and especially our feet were really cold by the end, but the hot drinks and tasty pastries in the van at the end helped take care of that. I think that on any other day of the year, you would not get as cold as we did.
As others have mentioned, it's a good idea to bring swim shorts (or spare underwear) and maybe a swim shirt or polyester shirt to wear underneath all the layers they give you, and of course dry underwear to change into afterwords. You leave all the rest of your clothes and belongings (safe and sound) at the base where you get changed. In retrospect, at this time of year, we should have worn wool socks inside the wetsuit boots as well!
There is an option to stop partway, but we decided to go all the way (around 1 hour more) and complete the trip. Despite the cold and snowy weather, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The rapids are a mix, up to Class III or IV (it was low water, so they were a bit smaller), with a couple of really exciting drops. The scenery through the gorge is beautiful. We also saw a herd of guanacas moving across the slopes.
As an added bonus, they gave us a ride back to our accommodations after we got changed back at their base. That was unexpected and really welcome, given that it had snowed so much and the streets were deep with slush and puddles!
We’re really glad we booked this experience, and highly recommend it (and Comarka Expediciones) to anyone looking for a thrilling alternative to hiking in El Chaltén.

First rafting experience for myself and my wife. The guides were very safety minded, comforting, and attentive to everyone’s specific needs. We went through 15 rapids and two people from the other raft fell into the water, but hey, rafting has its risks and they were quickly retrieved from the river. Was a total blast, highly recommend, especially as a break from hiking! The guides take photos so you don’t need to and can focus on the moment. Suits provided and we were plenty warm, but you will get wet! Bring extra underwear for afterward or a bathing suit for during the adventure.

German and his team were excellent guides, teaching us both how to be safe while rafting (very helpful for first timers!) and also all about the natural Patagonian landscape we passed along the river. Despite our group being mixed with folks from France, Uruguay, Argentina and the United States, we appreciated the instructions being provided in both English and Spanish. An unforgettable moment of our trip. 10/10 recommend if you're interested in rafting in El Chalten!
