Absolutely fantastic tour, we had family over from Canada who we thought would enjoy, even though I have lived near Stamford all my life this was incredible Jim’s knowledge of Stamford is so enjoyable, entertaining and historic information mind blowing!
We will be back for the ghost tour later in the year!

The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and the tour was very interesting. It would have been great to include a few more sights around Stamford and allow 5-10 minutes for people to see inside the Arts Centre and theatre while talking about the building outside. I would recommend the tour and tour guide but say you need to allow time for seeing inside some of the buildings when they are open.

Thank you for your review, you are right we have many many buildings that are worth visiting whilst you are here in Stamford, Stamford Town Hall (Friday 11am Tours), Brownes Hospital (Summer Saturday open days), The Theatre, The Many Churches, the Corn Exchange, the market (Fridays) Burghley House, and many more so a tour is a great sample to do at the beginning of a stay and maybe stay for a few days to visit them all. Whatever the weather - and our tour was in pouring, cold rain - it’s a brilliant tour giving so many insights into the history of and buildings and done with fun and humour. It takes about 90mins and covers just about every place in the town

We thought this walk was going to last around an hour or so but it was 1.75 hours in the end. Our guide was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable.

A really unique experience fantastically delivered by Steven. He showed us such different and fascinating historical artefacts . Oakham is full of history , amazing tales , architecture , beautiful blooms . Ranging from a 5 legged stocks in the butter market to alms houses , a statue of Queen Elizabeth with her corgis and unique thatched cottages .
Steven was highly knowledgeable, great sense of humour and very personable ! Definitely a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ tour guide

What an amazing tour ! Our guide Nicky ( I think ) but the lady in pink was fantastic. So informative I don’t know how she kept so many interesting facts in her head! Her enthusiasm for and love of Stamford was infectious. I would thoroughly recommend.

The stories Kiffy told about the town really brought the history to life. It was lovely to sit back and imagine the old days of stage coaches and Lords and ladies. It was informative and enjoyable. Would highly recommend it for a day out in beautiful Stamford.
