We had a great day out with the Diani Dhow team on the boat trip. All team members were extremely helpful - from making sure you felt safe during the snorkelling , to photographing the whole day for you and making sure you had food and drinks. Breakfast was on board and lunch was on wasini island at a restaurant and had great portion sizes and was delicious . I would highly recommend this excursion as it is a fantastic day out . I particularly love that the team send all the photos they have taken to you after the trip and the photos are beautifully edited and high quality .
Some additional comments I would make is to ensure you use lots of sun cream when snorkelling as it gets very , very hot and you don’t realised how strong the sun is.
At the restaurant , you will be approached by staff (not the boat team) to ask you to buy souvenirs and this can feel a little overwhelming sometimes, but this is in line with Diani culture anywhere .

It’s about an hour car ride from Diani to the boat, breakfast is very small so I wouldn’t depend on it to be the ‘main’ morning meal. The boat ride was quite long but it was a beautiful ride. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Because you are snorkeling in deep water it seemed like people would do it for a little and then get back in the board and just sit. Lunch was okay- again friendly staff but very very pushy about buying objects and tipping. Overall, not bad but as we were traveling with kids, I’m not sure I would recommend. We ended up not going to the slave caves bc the boat ride took so long to get back bc of weather it was 4pm before we were even back to the bus to go to the caves.

The guide and boat crew were very polite and helpful.We even got free photos of the day.Food on the island was lovely and there was beer and wine included.Saw Dolphins and while we were snorkelling saw a turtle.Great day out.

The Boat Tour was awesome! From the moment we stepped on board, the service was exceptional – the crew was friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone felt welcome. The food was great with plenty of refreshing drinks.

The trip was well organised, from pick up to the activities during the day. The guys on the boat were lovely and very available. We did two sessions of snorkelling and it was great, then sandbar and after that we went for lunch. Overall very enjoyable and I recommend it.

My experience didn’t meet my expectations I found the trip overrated . Crew was ok ; several of us experience motion sickness throughout the trip The boat itself was quite annoying . food was disappointing and portions were small ( you have to pay extra to get more food!) . Additionally there was a little no time to rest after such ride and long drive to the starting point

The early morning drive was long (about 45 mins) but interesting. The boat crew were all very friendly and helpful. The dolphin watch was super nice. Take some tablets if you easily get seasick though. The first bit of snorkelling was average. The second bit far more interesting. The Wasini island visit was quite a bad experience. The food offered was a joke and quite likely dangerous to have. The tour of the village was pretty bad too. Just a very dirty run down village with people asking for your money when they can’t even pick up the litter. In my opinion the whole experience should have been limited to the dolphins and the second part of the snorkelling. The rest was just unnecessary.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Snorkeling along the reef was beautiful with multiple different fish to see. Our guide took the time to point stuff out so we did not miss much.

We had an amazing experience !! The crew were amazing and so helpful and knowledgeable. I had the opportunity to snorkel for the first time because one of the crew members was there with me the whole time and made me feel safe! We got to swim with the dolphins and was magical!! They also sent me videos and pictures of our whole experience at no extra charge . Definitely worth it.

The pickup and dropoff were great. Kevin was a really cool driver. Snorkel and underwater footage also really good and the best part of the trip. The food was not great as it was really cold, also not enough coffee and beers for lunch were warm. The staff was really friendly.

What an experience.
Can't fault any of it, from the booking, to pick up, the day and the transfer back to our hotel.
From start to finish it was 12 hours.
We saw Mombassa, went across the ferry, on to Shimoni. There we picked up our guides and the boat. Went snorkeling and saw amazing colourful fish and corals.
Then we went on Wasini island were we had a traditional lunch. Which was very tasty.
From there we went back to Shimoni to see the slave caves.

In strong winds, the sandy bottom is so churned that you don't see much when snorkeling. The ride was extremely rough, 3 m high waves and only 55ps outboarder!

Prise en charge à l'hôtel, puis excursion agréable sur un bateau traditionnel, avec un équipage très sympa et à l'écoute. Plongée avec prêt de matériel si besoin.
Le déjeuner au restaurant était très bien aussi.
Les seuls points négatifs ont été la visite du jardin de corail où nous avons dû marcher au milieu de détritus peu ragoutants pour le voir,ce qui nous a fait regretter la visite du village; ainsi que la visite de la grotte aux esclaves, où la personne chargée des explications était complètement inaudible...

Für uns hat sich die Fahrt absolut gelohnt!
Abholung lief super, obwohl wir keines der Hotels hatten, von denen man direkt abgeholt wird. Konnte im Voraus aber trotzdem problemlos geplant werden mit der Abholung.
Das Frühstück war sehr süß mit traditionellen Kleinigkeiten, sowie Früchten und Tee/Kaffee. Die Crew war auch den ganzen Tag über sehr darauf bedacht, dass wir immer ausreichend versorgt sind, nicht in der Sonne verbrennen und es uns gut geht.
Das Programm an sich war auch super und man ist echt ein ganzes Weilchen schnorchel. Wir hatten Glück und konnten sowohl Delfine, als auch eine Wasserschildkröte sehen. Das Zusatzprogramm mit der Tour durch das Dorf und den Korallengarten war zwar sehr knapp, aber trotzdem interessant.
! Vegetarier sind essenstechnisch auch bestens versorgt.

Ein sehr gelungener Ausflug.
Schon im Vorfeld wurden wir über die genaue abholzeit informiert.
Im Hafen angekommen wartete schon ein Boot mit leckeren Frühstück auf uns.
Dann ging es auch schon los.
Die schnochelausrüstung war perfekt und unsere guide kümmerte sich beim schnorcheln perfekt um uns.
Für mich war es das erste Mal.
Wir hatten sehr viel Zeit zum schnorcheln und schwimmen.
Zwischendurch ging es immer wieder an Bord zur Getränkeversorgung.
Dann wartete auch schon unser sehr leckeres Mittagessen mit Krabben Fisch und hummer auf uns. Vorzüglich!
Auch der Spaziergang durch das Dorf und den korallengarten war äußerst interessant.
Den Abschluss machte dann noch der Besuch in der sklavenhöhle.
Ein rundum gelungener Ausflug auch wenn der guide nur englisch sprach.
