We had a great experience with Oanh in our day tour to Hue from Da Nang. We booked the complete package with pick up/drop off, entrances & lunch and we couldn’t be happier; our car was very comfortable and modern with water bottles included. We visited the Hai Van pass, citadel, imperial city, pagoda & emperor’s thomb, all of the stops were stunning & with plenty of time; Oanh was very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly, she even took great photos of us during the day. Lunch was authentic Vietnamese food and it was plenty & very yummy. Length of the tour is just right. Thank you so much Oanh! 100% recommended

Very interesting, historic and beautiful with a fabulous tour guide, Oanh! She listened to our desires and needs and always came through with delivering. It may be a long trip to visit Hue from Da Nang, but it is absolutely worth it. And I would highly recommend this tour company, as the guide and driver worked seamlessly to ensure a day free of any issues. And on a last note, the lunch that was included with this tour was easily the best lunch I have ever had as part of a tour (and one of the best I have had in Vietnam), and I have been on quite a few tours over the years.

Great tour and fun roadtrip.
The tour starts with exceptional veiws from tha Hai Van pas.
The onward to Hue. The tour in Hue is just great and our guide Thanh did a great job.

The tour was very professionally organised and engaging. The communication in advance was excellent, with the tour operator reaching out in advance to confirm our pick up arrangements (straight from and to our hotel in Danang) and dietary requirements.
The car was very comfortable, water was provided, the driving was impeccable (especially considering the winding road through the Hai Van Pass) and our tour guide chatted to us about both the content of the tour and any other questions we had about the area, history and current life in Vietnam. Her English was really good which made the communication easy and enjoyable.
The drive to Hue is scenic, with two stops - at a viewpoint in the Hai Van Pass and a very pretty lagoon where we could also see how locals fished for oysters. In Hue, it was very handy to have the car drop us off and pick us up from attractions that are far from each other - that alone justified booking the tour! Our tour guide gave us interesting, accessible information about the sights, not too much or too dense, and always made sure we had time for pictures too.
The lunch was nice, with a tasting menu of local dishes. It wasn't the absolute best food we'd had in Vietnam but it was tasty and gave us a chance to try a few more dishes that we hadn't encountered before.
There is also a short feedback form at the end, so people can give feedback directly about various aspects of the tour.
Overall, the tour was really worthwhile and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend!

Thinh was our tour guide extraordinaire with Dacotours Company along with Mr Bao, the driver. We had a GREAT day. Note: our pick-up was at Hilton Da Nang and it’s a 2-hour drive from there so getting shuttled there and back alone is 4-hours of your day, so well worth the ability to sit back, relax and not worry about the traffic and dodging motorbikes. And Thinh told us a ton of history of Da Nang and Vietnam in general on the way there/before we even arrived. We visited 3 major sites on Hue and Thinh gave us a ton of history about each site. It was an amazing day. He was also super attentive to our hydration and WC needs. My friend is 6’3” and was very comfortable in the vehicle too. We also stopped on the way to Hue for a WC break and there was a pearl place nearby that we had the option to go to. We also stopped at a scenic overlook. The lunch spot in Hue was really awesome - fantastic garden and food (great choice by the tour guide). Thinh was very willing to take pictures of us and for us along the way. SUPER nice guy.

There is a reason this is 5 stars with 94 reviews, and now 5 stars with 95 reviews. When you book a day trip, this is what you hope for. I use Viator to travel all over the world and this was one of the better tours I’ve done. Driver was great, always had water ready and made any stops we wanted. Our guide, Thanh was fantastic. He was caring and knowledgeable and made our entire experience very enjoyable. Highly recommend if in Da Nang area, the imperial city was great to see, learn about history, and get some cool pictures.

One of the better private tours we’ve had in Vietnam. Lots of sharing of information, pleasant drives with no issues, plenty of time for sites. Not a hurried pace. Only complaint I have of all tours lately is that I don’t need tour guides to keep insisting on doing photos of us. This one understood and accommodated but others, keep insisting throughout the day. I can appreciate what they’re trying to do but they should ask if you want it.

A packed full day trip, with great stopping off points on the drive to Hue. Which gave Thanh our tour guide the opportunity to educate us on the area & Vietnamese history & culture in a very informative way,using his great sense of humour.
The imperial city was very interesting great to have the car as some of the attractions are far apart. Super lunch in a busy restaurant with local foods of a high quality.
I would recommend this tour although a lot to pack in Thanh makes it relaxed & flexible.

The Hue Imperial City tour was wonderful, especially because we chose to do a private tour. Our guide Khan was definitely they key to making our trip so enjoyable. He is knowledgeable, speaks English well, and relayed the history in a way that was not only educational but entertaining. Our driver Xe was very professional and skilled in handling the traffic.

We had a wonderful time with our guide, Châu. She was incredibly knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. During our 2 hour ride from Da Nang, she would tell us about the area and history. We had a very nice lunch in a beautiful restaurant. It rained for much of the trip but Châu brought raincoats for us and always remained positive as we walked through standing water! The rain finally cleared up at the last stop of our tour. Wet but very enjoyable trip! And very few crowds so great pictures! Highly recommend!

Thinh as a tour guide was excellent in giving us the whole tour. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. He knows the history of Vietnam and is friendly. This tour was the highlight of our holidays.
Thinh provided us with a good meal which we all enjoyed. He is funny as well but very professional. We will use him again the next time my family are back in Vietnam.

Mr. Phuoc was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed a beautiful drive to Hue. I cannot believe how large the Imperial city was. We enjoyed exploring the city and learning about the fascinating history. The buildings and gardens are beautiful. I was highly recommend this tour even if it might be hot.
