What an amazing experience. Our guide Anh was so knowledgeable and personable. Learning all about Vietnam from him was the highlight of our trip. Not to mention the food was terrific. Each stop was a local family run place usually in the front room of their homes that turns into a restaurant at night. Watching noodles made by hand and food cooked in front of you served by the family while seated in kid sized chairs around a ow table made us feel like locals. Don’t miss out on this experience and do it early in your trip as you learn so much which can help you plan the rest of your stay.

The perfect way to explore Da Nang and gain an insight to life and food from the perspective of a local. Anh was extremely accomodating to our group’s needs - from mobility to dietary requirements. As a guide, he indulged our many questions on topics ranging from food culture to his personal experience growing up in Vietnam. We came away from the tour with both our hunger and curiosity well satiated.

This by far was the best tour we’ve been on in Da Nang Vietnam. Anh took the time to bring us to few local cuisines catering to our diets. We were introduced to dishes that we’ve never heard or tasted before and much to our surprise they were delicious. The places we ate at were far from tour traps but rather they seemed like the places locals would go to, some were even his favourite places and we could see why. Anh was friendly and accommodating every step of the way. Anh also had suggestions other places to visit which didn’t necessarily involve food. It was an amazing tour and I would recommend it to anyone who plans on coming to Vietnam.

Cost at 49 euros each was prohibitive for what we got. Drink was never offered unless we asked. No alcohol available and a limited amount of beer at the last resteraunt. The crowning insult was to get a half Bahn Mi and half an ice cream( which was delicious.) Cost should been 25 euros at max. Guide An was ok. Will be reluctant to use Vistor ever again.

Sorry you didn't enjoy the tour, although it seems like there were still plenty of silver linings. Here's what you had on your tour:
Bánh bèo – Bloating Fern-shaped cake
Bánh nậm – flat rice cake with shrimp and pork
Ram ít – sticky rice dumpling on fried bread
Bánh bột lọc – tapioca dumpling with shrimp and pork
Bánh mì gà – banh mi with egg mayo and pork floss
Bún chả cá – fish cake noodle soup
Sườn nướng – BBQ pork ribs
Rau muống xào tỏi – stir-fried morning glory with garlic
Gà rang muối – fried chicken with lemon grass and lime leaves
Lươn xào xả ớt - stir-fried eels with lemon grass
Bò lá lốt – beef in the betel leaf
Kem bơ – avocado with coconut ice cream
We normally share the banh mi because people tend to get quite full and want to try as much as possible. There is also local alcohol and beer available throughout the tour (sorry we didn't bring Gin & Tonic with us, though you were given a choice of several locally fermented spirits). I've reminded the guide to clearly offer drinks at each stop.
All of this definitely costs more than 25 Euros.
Also please remember that we are a small business, not affiliated with Viator. They are just one booking platform that we use (you can also book directly) and for their service they take 23% commission. We also need to budget to pay Anh's salary, and after everything's said and done, hopefully there's a little bit left over for some business profit.

Great night. Our host Anh was very knowledgeable about Da Nang… it’s history and food culture. The highlight for us was the amazing food shared in the home of a local family. We had been in Vietnam for 5 weeks and had not experienced food as good as this. Anh also introduced us to dishes that we had never heard of and would never have chosen on a menu…..which made the tour a standout experience.

I have been to several food tours (2 in Vietnam) and this is definitely the best tour I have been to. I highly recommend it!
It was only me and my girlfriend, since no one else had booked. Our tour guide was wonderful. He spoke the best english I have heard in all Vietnam. Very knowledgeble and fun, he could answer all our questions about Vietnamese food. The guide was vary enthusiastic and a true foodie. He choose very interesting and tasty places and foods. Many hidden gems that we would never find otherwise.

We've done a number of street food tours around the world, and the one we did in Da Nang tonight may be the best one we've ever experienced. You can't beat eating local specialities while walking around and learning about the city and its history from our passionate local guide Anh. I can't recommend coming to Da Nang enough just for this tour.
P.S. I had the best banh mi I've ever had in my life, and it wasn't even close to the best food we ate walking around tonight.

Our family really enjoyed this tour with Anh's guidance. We appreciated the variety of dishes and liked the walking component. We have been on several food tours in other countries and thought this was one of the better ones. Even though we have had a lot of Vietnamese food from our 3 trips to Vietnam, Anh exposed us to dishes we hadn't tried before. I would highly recommend this tour.
