A wonderful guide for a rainy day in Hoi Am and Coconut Village

My group had a wonderful day with Tony. He contacted me prior to our trip and suggested we take an afternoon start time instead of the early morning one I selected. I was looking to avoid the crowds, but I did not take in account the beauty of Hoi An with all of its lanterns lit in the evening. That was a great suggestion and I am glad I took it. It was raining heavily the day of our tour and he provided us with some indoor options for the day. We were not deterred by the weather and went with the original plan. It turned out to be so much fun. Tony was with us on the coconut boats and provided timely commentary as we spun and floated down the river. In Hoi Am, Tony provided historical facts about the area and specific buildings. He also talked us into placing lanterns in the river. We were all really resistant, but so glad we did at the end. We wanted to do some shopping at the market and he was right there. He helped us find what we were each looking for and assisted in getting us a reasonable price. At the end of our evening, he helped us to select a terrific restaurant that had a perfect overview of the lantern boats in the river. This was a wonderful day full of memories we will never forget.
