Great tour, great intro to Cambridge, highly recommend. Our guide was very informative and interesting, telling stories about the college history, famous pranks, Nobel prize winners.

Great trip our guide was knowledgeable but also really personable lovely sunny trip on the river Cam

The scenery was amazing and the ride was relaxing. However, the tour guide, Josh, gave limited information, spoke quietly, and showed little enthusiasm. The tour is fun to do if you are already in Cambridge but don’t travel from London specifically for the tour.

A great way to hear about the history of the Cambridge colleges whilst relaxing in a punt. Matteo was inclusive, humorous and very knowledgeable and extremely skillful at avoiding the other traffic!

First let me say our guide was outstanding. He did his absolute best and what we could hear was interesting. He went out of his way to make our kid feel special and even let her try punting. The issue has nothing to do with his ability. I blame this 100% on the tour operator who let 2 young guys onboard with a pizza and beers. They, along with some obnoxious young women spent nearly the entire ride talking over our poor guide, drinking and vaping - even after he asked them to stop. I mean it's not like he could have dropped them off mid-ride but they were obnoxious, loud and disrespectful and pretty much ruined it for those of us that were actually interested in the history and not getting wasted and flirting. I'd definitely reconsider booking a private punting tour to avoid issues like this if you can.

Thank you for your honest review - it seems a little unfair to give us a bad review for other people’s behaviour however. As they may well have only had a few moments with our ground staff who couldn’t have predicted this outcome. We always refuse boarding to people who are overtly drunk but can’t predict how some people will behave - that’s down to them. Maybe we need to find a way to review people!!
Please do get in touch so we can send you out on a different tour so you have an experience unlike this one

Beautiful way to spend time on the river!
Received a warm welcome on arrival, had booked so didn't have to wait long for our boat. Was offered a hand to get in and out of the boat, and sat jn the front seat where we had amazing views of the river ahead, as our tour guide and captain shared some really interesting history and information as we cruised along in the sunshine.
Not far from lovely bars and restaurants, or from the market square and other places of interest. This was our second visit and we would visit again tomorrow if we could!

Our punter, Ramon, turned the trip into a truly unforgettable adventure with his lively storytelling and fascinating fun facts about the beautiful River Cam and the historic buildings surrounding it. His cheerful energy, humor, and knowledge made the experience far more than just a relaxing ride, it felt like a fun journey through the rich history and charm of Cambridge. That man needs a raise! =)
