We were picked up on time at our hotel, which was a great start, because not all tour companies offered this for our hotel. Our driver and guide, Zachary, was great, he was very relaxed and friendly, we didn't feel rushed at all. He passed on loads of information about the area, that was really interesting. Lunch was included, and that was , a really nice meal. We were then handed over to a second guide that, took us around the oasis. He was informative and funny. He did comment, that he loved our group of seven. There are donkies to ride, should you not want to walk, but it was a lovely gentle walk. I took a photo of the donkies, and quickly got hounded for money. Zachary then met up with for the drive back. I think it's fair to say, everyone in our group had a wonderful day

Although Tiout and Taroudant were both stunning destinations, the overall tour experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the constant expectation of tipping. Tip jars were placed at the argan cooperative shop outside the ladies. Even at the free lunch, there were inflated prices for soda and water. To make matters worse, a young boy was sent around to collect money for the drinks after lunch, making it hard not to leave a tip. The behavior of the tour guide at the Oasis was particularly disappointing. He refused tips in coins and rejected smaller tips under 20 MAD, which created an awkward situation for those who didn’t have larger bills on hand. This left a negative impression and detracted from the overall experience. The tour felt rushed, offering limited time to explore Taroudant at our own pace. It would have been much better to have more freedom to explore independently and then meet the guide at a set time. The constant pressure to tip multiple people (5-6 people at least) throughout the tour created an uncomfortable atmosphere, leaving a bitter aftertaste. While the Oasis was a beautiful location, the excessive focus on tipping seriously detracted from the experience. It would be great to offer a self-guided tour option, possibly without lunch, with a designated meeting point for those who want to explore at their own pace.

This is never organized or encouraged by our team, and no guest should ever feel uncomfortable in that regard. Regarding free time to explore: our guide is always happy to allow guests to wander independently — you only need to ask! We will make sure this is communicated more clearly at the start of future tours so guests feel empowered to set their own pace. As for the argan shop stop, this is a carefully chosen visit to a local cooperative where products are 100% natural and certified organic. It is an opportunity to learn about a tradition that is very special to this region and to support local families who depend on it. Purchasing is always completely optional — no one will ever be pressured to buy anything. We hope that despite these frustrations, you were still able to appreciate the beauty of Tiout and Taroudant. Taroudant and Tiout are amazing places to visit. The guide also taught us lots about Morocco in general, including the revi al of Berber as the official language. The only small criticism was that there was no free time, it was all follow the guide.
