I won't be churlish and leave a 1 star review but I think some people might.
The trip got off to a bad start when I was kept waiting for 25 mins beyond the agreed pick up time. The tour company said they had to pick up the first passengers from a hotel a few miles south of my hotel. But there's no excuse. They could have revised my pickup time. The fairly long journey was broken up with a few stops. First we stopped to take photos of some impressive coastal scenery. Next we stopped to see goats supposedly climbing trees to eat the foliage. I fear there's evidence the goats do not climb the trees by instinct but are placed there by herders who regard it as a way to make money from tourists. It's probably cruel. The guide then talked for far too long in both English and French on the bus, telling us about the history of Morocco. I really would have preferred to travel in silence.
When we arrived in Essaouira, our guide led us into the Medina. There were frequent stops for him to offer further comments. I didn't expect this, and I didn't like it. I suggest there should have been an option to have free time, to look around ourselves, and meet back at the bus at some agreed time. I don't like being led around like a school child. Perhaps linked to my boredom, I stopped to buy something. It only took a minute and I assumed I could catch up with the group. But, in the event, I never saw them again. Perhaps they turned off without the guide checking he had not left anyone behind. I contacted the tour organiser using whatsapp. He did reply with a suggestion to meet the group later but I had already walked to the CTM bus station and bought a ticket for the next coach back to Agadir.

It was excellent value for money-the guide was good and we got to see a part of Morocco that we didn’t know was so lovely.
The coastline was amazing

It was a long drive from Agadir, which I expected. The guy takes you around town and explains things and then takes you to lunch (you pay for your own lunch). We went over to the fort which for me was the whole reason I wanted to go on the trip. You only get 10 minutes over there and I would have wanted longer. You get some free time at the end so I went around to the marina and then I went to the beach nearby. I wanted to sit over there until The pickup time, but the wind was so strong. It was blowing sand everywhere and in your face so I couldn’t sit over there. I ended up sitting near the meeting point in having an ice cream instead.
At the end of the tour, the driver and guy didn’t drop me at my hotel which I found unacceptable. They left me down on the main road instead and told me to walk up. I had a tip for them but I didn’t bother to give it to them because I felt that was disrespectful and lazy. I’m sure everyone else got dropped at their hotel. It was Ramadan and I’m sure they wanted to get home fast so they could eat but I still think it’s unacceptable.

It’s a 12 hr day including pick up & drop off! Interesting place to visit. Traditional fishing port. Would have liked less time in restaurant/ Argan oil place to give more time around Kasbar & medina though. Guide (Abdulah) was good.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! We're glad to hear you found the places you visited interesting, and that you had a good experience with our guide, Abdulah.
We appreciate your feedback about the time spent at the restaurant and the Argan oil place. We always aim to balance the various stops to provide a well-rounded experience, but we understand your desire for more time to explore the Kasbah and Medina. We’ll certainly take this into consideration as we continue to refine the itinerary.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another Face Tours experience in the future!

Lovely day out with few stops before you get to your actual destination essaouira. We we to the argon factory then saw lambs in trees. The driver stopped at the seafront and near some camels for people to take photos . Very nice day out beautiful scenery 😍

Sehr empfehlenswerter Ausflug.
