During our 11 day trip to Egypt we used Private Tours and were very pleased with the experience even with the additional cost. But I would not recommend a private tour from Aswan to Abu Simbel because the Egyptologist spend only minutes talking about the inside of the 2 temples. Then I learned once we arrived that the guide could not enter the temple with us. The temples were absolutely worth seeing, but take a bus as it will be much cheaper.

First of all this is the rules that No guiding inside the temples it’s not Or problem , for saving our monuments. And our Egyptologist tour guide explained everything about the history of the temples in your way for saving your time to give you the maximum time enjoining the temple after his explanation also when you arrived to the temples and you got your enough time as free time to discover the temple and take your pictures the if you have any questions about it you could ask the Egyptologist but you didn’t ask about anything.

Walking into the Temple is indescribable. It was a long drive, but worth twice the drive time. We went in July. I suggest staying at little longer and you'll have the place to yourself...see pic.
