Our guide, Atsuko, was very informative and a pleasure to be with. The tour was great. It was personalized to accommodate our interests. The pace of the tour was just right for us. We would recommend it to anyone.
This was an awesome way to see the best things in Tokyo in one day! Our driver was great. Our guide spoke English very well and was so knowledgeable, plus he was so fun.
Shoei is super friendly, kind and accommodating. He is a true local expert sharing good insights on Japanese culture and great tips on restaurants.
The perfect combination of sites to see! Started with the Tsukiji Fish Market, next stop the Imperial Palace grounds and ended with Shibuya Crossing.
We had an amazing 6-hour private tour of Tokyo with Zenji! He was polite, helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and so much fun to spend the day with. He took us to a beautiful temple, the world’s busiest crossing, and the incredible fish market. Along the way, we enjoyed delicious sushi, Wagyu steak, mochi, and sake. He also helped us navigate Tokyo’s sophisticated train system, which made getting around so much easier. Zenji made our day in Tokyo truly memorable, and we highly recommend him to anyone visiting the city!

We LOVED the private half day tour! Our guide was warm, and personable, and made the tour perfect. Yuki connected via text to confirm pick up location, then we talked through the sites we wanted to see, he offered up details and other off the beaten path options for us to add in. Then we figured out the transportation routes based off where we wanted to be at the end of our tour and we were off! He was very attentive, and took time to share history, point out unique or local events that were fun to learn about. His English was so GOOD! We had a wonderful day and enjoyed visiting the Ueno area, which was a recommended stop from Yuki. It was wonderful, and has a lovely park, zoo and multiple museums to see, including the home of the national museum, which we are planning to visit later in our visit. Yuki made this experience so enjoyable and perfect for us.
Being a private tour, we were able to see a large number of sites. Our guide ensured my wife could have a good lunch in spite of her many allergies. But our guide was fairly quiet and shared minimal information. He would only add details when we asked questions and we usually didn’t know enough about the sites to ask the right questions. Be prepared to walk a LOT if you go on this tour. Hopefully other guides are better, more talkative
Atsuto was an amazing guide! His English was flawless and was able to answer all of our questions. I loved that we had input as to where we went and were able to be flexible if we saw something we were interested in. The day felt more like hanging out with a new friend who knows the area and all the cool spots rather than a traditional tour. We had a great day, would recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Zenji during our 8 hour private tour of Tokyo! We were traveling with our two daughters, ages 6 and 7, and he was incredible with our entire family from beginning to end.
Zenji took us to so many amazing places and made the day feel fun, easy, and completely personalized. He was wonderful with our girls and kept them engaged and happy throughout the entire tour.
He was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. We saw and learned so much, and he truly exceeded our expectations. Our day with Zenji was one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo.

We met our guide Atsuto at our hotel in Asakusa. He was eager , polite and full of knowledge. Of we went on a train journey of Tokyo, to discover the best of the city! His English was superb, and he was a pleasant companion. Nothing was too much trouble, and he ws ready to answer/ address our questions. Would recommend this tour, which suited our needs, and a huge thanks to Atsuto.

Kosuke was knowledgable, patient and helped us with navigating the trains. We packed a few sites into the four hour tour, including visiting gardens and the Meiji Shinto Shrine. He shared Japans history and changes over time!

We met with our guide at our hotel which was very helpful and we had chosen to use the suggested itinerary provided by Viator. Our guide was able to show us the trains and was informative at the sites we visited. He took us to a restaurant he knew, however the wait time for a seat for six was over 50 minutes which cut into our tour unnecessarily. We requested several times to leave and go elsewhere but he was adamant we should wait. This meant we missed out on the last 2-3 locations of our tour. Although our guide kindly offered to extend the tour to make up for it, we decided to finish. We are grateful for our kind guide but a long wait for lunch with a busy schedule should be reflected upon.
Julian was fabulous and the time was perfect! Learned a ton and saw so much. Managed the trains and it all was super interesting

This is a great introduction to Tokyo and a solid option if you want to get oriented to the city in a short period of time. It's impossible to see all of Tokyo in one day, so use this as a beginning tour to help guide future adventures.

Tour was suggested and then we adjusted on the fly. Which worked out great for us. Visited many places and traveled throughout Tokyo via the rail system, which was exciting. Our Tour guide FK was excellent, he was knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend time with. We visited the fish market and enjoyed some fresh Sushi. We went to Old Town, we participated in rituals at the Buddhist temple. Great Day

We had a wonderful day with Naoki. He inquired of our preferences and adjusted our itinerary accordingly. The food choices were phenomenal and he made a few recommendations for other activities. Highly recommend! Over 22,000 steps - wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

The 6 hour tour was great with only four stops. There is no travel stress when using the trains. The tour guide provides more in depth description and additional information regarding the sites with both historical and spiritual perspective.

Zenji is a really nice young man but he lacks experience and functioned more like a travel companion than a Tour Guide. He got us on the right subways to see the sights we picked, but offered very little in tourist information. He was more like a subway guide than a tour guide, and his English was just ok… we often asked him to repeat things. Spending $183 a person ($366 total) for 6 hours was expensive for what we got. We also wasted almost 20-30 minutes of our 6 hours at the start trying to get Yen cash to pay for Zenji to use the subway. Our ATM card we use all over the world kept getting rejected at the 7-11 ATM machine. We finally had to exchange it for US cash. It would be very helpful if he had texted us the day before to tell us to have local currency to pay for his subway fares. We were in that same 7-11 the night before and could have accomplished this task at that time and saved time on our tour.

Our first full day in Tokyo was absolutely amazing, and having such a wonderful guide made it even more special! He was incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, and genuinely enjoyable to spend the day with. He shared so much interesting information, but also gave us practical tips that helped make the rest of our trip easier and more efficient.
His personality and communication were fantastic, and he did a great job making us feel comfortable while helping us navigate our first day in such a huge city. We had a fantastic time and couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Tokyo. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone visiting Tokyo!

Guide was a very nice gentleman but we were expecting to hear more history about the city and history of Japan during our tour. It was more having a guide taking us around to see the sites and not getting lost in the subway! The price of the tour is too expensive for the experience we had and we had to pay for the subway card for the guide.

Zenji was the nicest tour guide ever! He was knowledgeable and he walked me through some of the “must see” places and even the best ramen and sushi places. He thought me about the city, Japanese culture and even how to utilize the comprehensive public transport. And all throughout the day we talked, let me tell you he can hold a conversation! And the company itself, even before your tour starts, they contact you and ask you what you want exactly and cover your tour accordingly. There is a reason why they have a 5 star rating with over 2000 reviews, and that’s because they are awesome. Definitely recommend hiring them.

Shoma was fantastic. We had a great time and covered a lot of ground during the tour, and he kept the pace reasonable for us 70 somethings. All the suggestions were spot on. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide (Youi?) was just terrific! We took her tour the first day we arrived in Tokyo. She gave us the perfect introduction to getting around Japan and more specifically Tokyo. She was so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed spending time with her. She found a great little restaurant for us for our first meal in Japan! After our tour, we felt much better about using Uber and the trains.

Well organised and efficient 6 hour tour visiting the highlights of Tokyo. Company were very proactive in asking what we wanted to see, how we wanted to get around, what pace we wanted to go at and what we wanted to eat !! Naoki was a great guide. He took us to several temples, we earned the history . We also went to several markeys including the fish market which was awesome. We tasted sea urchin which was fantastic. I would recommend this excursion to see many sites in Tokyo
