Our driver and guide was...
Our driver and guide was Eduardo- he was well spoken in English and a passionate man proud of his country - very communicatiive and knowledgeable in history - the Roman amphitheater and circus were not as large and preserved as we were expecting but told the story of Roman times - he gave good recommendations for seaside restaurants and drove us back to Barcelona along the elevated scenic seaside highway - thank you Eduardo

Felt like a VIP
Diego made a contact call with us the night before our tour date to confirm where to pick up. We had a very small group (4) which made it essentially a private tour. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about our subjects (and others as well), managed or your to please us. He was a great guide and we would definitely recommend this tour!

  • The amphitheater is outdoors with little shelter from the elements, so dress for the weather and bring a hat and sunblock in the summer.

  • Though there is some informative signage around the site, the downloadable audio guide (available at the ticket office) or a guided tour provides valuable insights to better understand the ruins.

  • The site is best photographed from the street level above, where you also can capture the sea in the background.

  • Kids get more free reign to explore here than in many other ancient amphitheaters in Europe, making this a family-friendly stop.

  • Those using wheelchairs and strollers can partially access the ruins, including the arena floor. Other areas only can be reached via steps.
