What are people saying about Siena

The best walking tour we have done
An informative and entertaining tour of the old town and the two major churches. Our guide (Michael) was very knowledgeable and explained the local passions for the horse race as well as sharing an understated but deep understanding of the art and culture of the city. We have taken walking tours in each of the 4 cities we have visited so far, and this was the best.

Fabulous excursion
Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable about everything we were doing. The scenery on the trip was super. The fellow passengers were very convivial. The tones we stopped in were breathtaking. I couldn’t imagine anything being better on this tour.

Small, friendly winery, near Siena
One of our favorite winery vists. This is a small winery, just outside of Siena. We took a taxi to and from, I believe it was on the order of €12-€15 one way. Our guide was Lorenzo, the wine maker. He was very informative and very engaging. We got the wine tasting plus light lunch and it was a great combination. The food was very good. And we shipped some wine hime! We totally recommend this visit

Fabulous visit
The setting is beautiful and it was the last day of harvest so were able to see the de stemming process. The guide was knowledgeable and funny and made it all very enjoyable. The food was superb— very ample portions with wine pairing. I leaned a lot about the Brunelo designation

Siena may be hidden within a 1,000-year-old Medieval wall, but it’s still a welcoming place. That said, even if you’re fluent in Italian, you’ll want to book Siena tours to get a feel for this Tuscan city and its scenic surroundings. No one knows where to go truffle hunting or where to find the best Chianti wines better than local guides. Visit during harvest season to take a stab at grape stomping, or if you’re really up for an adventure, consider seeing the countryside from a hot-air balloon or the back of a Vespa.
