Jess's Cradle Mountain tour
One-day tour from Launceston to Cradle Mountain, with Jess as our driver & excellent tour guide. We loved the tour and especially Jess's commentary. We learned so much from her. Recommend this tour to anyone.

Amazing Sam 😊
It was a long day trip from Hobart to Cradle Mountain, but Sam was well organised and made everything easy and convenient for everyone. He made the tour enjoyable and worth the long journey. Sam was amazing!

Brilliant day tour!
Absolutely brilliant day from start to finish. Jess was a great tour guide, full of stories and knowledge plus the odd joke too! Whole tour was flawless, Cradle Mountain was unbelievably beautiful, and we ended the day with delicious icecream before heading back to our hotel point to end the day. Thanks again Jess for a great day!

Five-star Day
We had a wonderful day on this tour, especially thanks to our guide, Steve, and his interesting facts and stories about the region. We stopped at Sheffield on the way and enjoyed the many murals, then had a tour of the mountain on our tour vehicle with several stops for walks and photos. On the way back we stopped at a store selling the most unusual different types of honey that I've ever tasted. Altogether it was a five-star day.

  • Visitors to the national park are required to purchase a park pass. A pass is also required to hike the Overland Track between October and May.

  • Information, maps, park passes, and amenities are available from the visitor’s center, outside the park entrance, and from the ranger station inside the park.

  • The park has a number of basic lodging options, including cabins, chalets, and campgrounds.

  • The weather can be changeable in the park, even in summer, so dress in layers and be prepared for wind, rain, and low visibility, especially in the mountains.

  • Some of the park’s trails are wheelchair-accessible, and all-terrain wheelchairs are available to rent from the visitor center.
