Donata was amazing! An absolute expert but also patient enough to teach, especially me. We made two fantastic pasta dishes (spinach and ricotta stuffed ravioli in a butter and sage from her garden sauce plus a tagliatelle in a homemade (and home grown) tomato sauce) and from scratch tiramisu! Olives from the garden dinner overlooking the sea on the terrace! Not sure you can have a better excursion. If you want authentic, real, and something to remember while in La Spezia my wife and I would highly recommend this!

Fabulous scenery, great guide.

Our tour was cancelled due to the lack of bookings (end of season), however we were upgraded for free, giving us more to see and do. Jacob was our guide, and he was brilliant managing a busy tour, making sure everyone was looked after. Would recommend, fabulous scenery.

Outstanding Eight Hour Boat Excusion!

This was an excellent eight hour excursion. The weather was fantastic! Our boat captain, Gregorio, was outstanding! He also put out a great lunch that we all ate while out at anchor! The views along the coast of Cinque Terre were priceless! We got to swim several times during the excursion. Gregorio put the boat out at anchor and we had lengthy swimming opportunities. If you can’t swim, he provided swimming noodles. So bring your swimming clothes. The key to this excursion truly is weather! We had fantastic sea conditions and the temperature was around 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

Great trip

Albert and Valaria A lovely trip, balanced well between sightseeing in the boat, time to ourselves to explore on land and admire the beautiful scenery. Valeria was warm andvery knowledgeable with interesting history of the area. Albert was an experienced and excellent (and entertaining) Captain of the boat. The local specialist Foccia bread was a big hit. We were a group of 8 and had a super trip. Highly recommended?

An unforgettable experience in Cinque Terre! 🌊🇮🇹

This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! 🇮🇹🌊 I have a disability that makes walking a little more difficult, and the crew was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. They never made me feel rushed and even waited for me when I needed a little extra time, which meant so much to me. The snacks and wine were delicious, the views were absolutely breathtaking, and swimming in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea was unforgettable! We also had so much fun talking, laughing, and getting to know everyone else in our group. The entire experience felt relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely fun. I would absolutely recommend this tour and would do it all over again! ❤️

An Exceptional Experience – Highly Recommend! We had two wonderful experiences with Hop Hop Boat Tour, and both exceeded our expectations. On our first day, strong winds and high waves made it unsafe to travel to Cinque Terre. Our captain, Leonardo, made the right decision to put safety first and adjusted our itinerary. Instead, he took us along the beautiful coastline to charming neighboring towns, giving us plenty of time to explore and enjoy each stop. Leonardo was knowledgeable, personable, and fun, turning what could have been a disappointing day into a fantastic experience. The following day, we called to check the weather and sea conditions before booking again. Thankfully, the conditions were perfect, and we finally made it to Cinque Terre. It was absolutely spectacular! Seeing all five villages from the water was breathtaking, and we had a wonderful stop in Monterosso for lunch. The scenery is truly picture-perfect, and the entire day could not have been better. Our captain, Matei, was equally wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the trip. What impressed us most was the professionalism of both captains and the way Hop Hop Boat Tour handled the changing weather conditions. We felt safe, well taken care of, and never rushed.

The perfect low stress getaway

We had a fantastic time, cruising with Mateo and Frederica. The communication was excellent, which really helped calm our nerves. The tour was great. We enjoyed the beverages, the nice snack they provided and a good commentary about the area. Taking two swims in the sea on a really hot day was the icing on the cake. I would highly highly highly recommend this excursion.

Fabulous

This excursion was fabulous! Beautiful views and peaceful day. Lots of time cruising in the boat, sightseeing and swimming! Food, wine and beer were plentiful. Jerry was very gracious pointed out the towns and answered my questions. Note: this is a sightseeing, relaxing excursion, this is not an informational tour. Also, leave plenty of time from cruise port as it is a 15 min walk to pick up spot on other side of marina.

Great choice for a private tour!

We booked this private excursion during one of our cruise stops in La Spezia. It is easily customizable in a way that gives you time to explore, include a lunch and enjoy the famous spots of Pisa and Florence. Our guide, Marta, was our friend by the end of the trip. Informative along the way, gave great suggestions and tips to avoid “tourist traps”, as she called them. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and made it back to the ship with plenty time.

Very satisfied with our Cinque Terre tour experience. Our guide, Veronica, knows Cinque Terre very well. She is fully capable to agreeably tailor-make (adjust) the tour if weather or other circumstances arise. She assisted with train ticket purchase. Veronica gave narrative of each town and allowed time for self strolling / shopping. The tour pace was sufficient. She led the tour to areas (views) we would not have found touring on our own. Veronica gave very good restaurant and shop recommendations.

Our guide Sharif was excellent , informative and very cordial. He had great local knowledge for this trip. Just be aware there is alot of walking, we did over 6 miles..as well as bus seat time, roughly 4.5 to 5 hours in the bus. Bus was comfortable but, no bathroom and whomever the bus company was arrange for a bus the didn't have enough seats ..therefore, our guide Sharif , was sitting on the floor all the time.. All in all a great trip to wonderful city..Unfortunately, not enough time in each city to truly explore..a reason to return

Cinque Terre Wonderful Day!

Our guide Tommaso was the greatest! He provided a fabulous commentary during our ride, took us to several beautiful lookout stops, and guided us through Cinque Terre. He was extremely professional and friendly, with the right combination of the two. Tommaso gave us choices of places to see and to eat lunch, and did not rush us. We did this as a private tour off a cruise and it was a most wonderful day!
