Fabulous Food Tour with Food Expert

Our guide, Jean Rambert, was excellent. He and his wife owned a restaurant, so Jean is more than qualified to share his favorite restaurants and food choices with us! We went to five locations with a short walk in between each stop. It was excellent!!! Coincidentally our group of 12 were all people from our cruise ship, even though we all booked separately. We were given clear instructions where the meeting point was, including pinned on a map and Jean’s photo. The restaurants were ready for our arrival, we were served very quickly with the “small bites” that were ordered in advance. Three restaurant stops for savory local foods and two stops for sweets. We enjoyed food, wine and finished with cookies and pastries! Jean is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about culinary arts, and also the fascinating history of Marseille which was founded 600 B.C. - the oldest city in France! I highly recommend the “Marseille Food Tour - Full Meal of Local Tastes” and Jean Rambert at “Do Eat Better experience”

Great 3-hour ride!

Great was very knowledgeable and a good tour guide. There were only eight of us on the tour. The roads were very busy and we had to be very careful but it was a beautiful tour. Lots of stops where we could take pictures of the sea and other cathedrals and buildings.

We had an incredible tour experience in Marseille with our guide, Siret! From the very beginning, her warmth, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge of the city made the entire experience unforgettable. Siret brought Marseille’s rich history and vibrant culture to life as we explored the classic Vieux-Port (Old Port) and the historic Le Panier neighborhood. She didn't just share fascinating stories and historical context; she also gave us super helpful local tips, recommendations for dining, and advice on how to navigate the rest of our stay. Her pacing was excellent, and she made sure everyone was comfortable and engaged throughout. If you are visiting Marseille and want an authentic, insightful, and enjoyable overview of the city, we cannot recommend booking a tour with Siret highly enough!

You should DO this!

We decided the evening before that we wanted to book a private van and driver, and we 100% would do this again! Smaïn was the BEST! He asked what we wanted to see and do and he was great about giving us suggestions. He explained everything as we passed by, and gave us insight into life in Marseille. The drop offs and pick ups were perfect, and we were so glad we didn’t have to do so much walking. It was a wonderful way to see Marseille!

The guide gave lots of historical information about each site, dropped us off as close to the entrances as possible, and allowed us to determine how much time to spend at each location. Highlight of our Mediterranean trip!

Fabulous trip. Captain Jaques was great, informative and helpful. Told us all about the boat, the history of the beautiful islands we passed and found a gorgeous quiet cove to anchor for a swim. On the return the wind picked up so we were able to get the sails up and the engine off- we even got to helm! Delighted we booked and can highly recommend.

This was part of cruise excursion and it was a great way to see Marseilles !! The car was in mint condition and we had a great time with Denis taking us to interesting places and tell us about the history. I really enjoyed this tour! “Frenchie,” as he called himself, was sooo funny & knowledgeable about the local wine region. He was very considerate with my timing as well I had to sadly skip the last vineyard to make my cruise ship & he helped me make arrangements to get back. He’s also shipping some lovely wines back to the US for me. So convenient!

Olga our guide met us right as we exited the ship. I really preferred this type of small Group tour as we felt just like a group of friends. Olga was very knowledgeable and friendly.
