Kodai is the best tour guide !
What a great tour with Kodai. He took great care of us and was very enthusiastic. His English was outstanding and we understood everything. I knew even before the tour that we were going to have a great experience. He was in touch with us and coordinated the start time to accommodate our arrival by ship into Kobe. Kodai gave us a very authentic view and experience of Kobe. His guided tour of the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum was fantastic. He took us through a street with local food vendors and recommended dishes to try.

Amazing sake tour with Hiroman
Hiroman led us on an amazing tour of a few sake breweries and did an excellent job of explaining the history of sake brewing and how to taste and rate sake. We absolutely loved the tour and would highly recommend it, especially if you request Hiroman.

Kobe beef
During our tour with Reiko, we were able to visit a well known local sake brewery and learn about this craft (plus tasting of their sake). We then went to a very old steak house were we experienced the preparation/cooking of Kobe beef. Chef's were superb and the beef was fantastic. Would highly recommend to everyon.

Fantastic shore excursion with private guide and vehicle
We communicated with our guide Nori prior to our arrival in port and organised an itinerary.
Nori our guide met us at the port with our driver and vehicle. She was a wonderful guide and we had a very interesting day, she arranged the day to try and stay out of the heat. We saw some beautiful countryside and some key places in Kyoto. We also had a taste of Japanese food at a large food hall. There were 2couples on this tour and we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you are on a cruise. We were back in ample time . Thank you Nori.

Well organized tour with enriching experiences
I was grateful for how organized this tour was. The pick up from Osaka cruise terminal was perfect and our driver was efficient and flexible allowing us to see things off the beaten path. Tom our tour guide was very accommodating and gracious. We went during the Gion festivities in Kyoto and we got to see the floats which was a real thrill. The temples were spectacular. Kyoto itself is a very large city which surprised us, but they have managed to preserve the old city very well. Great tour which I highly recommend.

Glorious day in Kobe
I booked this trip a few days in advance and I was very pleased to hear that I was the only participant and they were willing to go ahead with the tour.
My guide was the wonderful Lucy (Ikuko). Her English was execellent and she was a delight! Bubbly, fun and a wonderful person. She had great knowledge of her home town.
The tour was a great mix of local sites and gave a general overview of Kobe with interesting and beautiful places to see - and some I revisted in the preceeding days. The Herb Garden was stunning!
I would not hestitate to recommend this tour!

A leisurely stroll through kyoto
Rather than rushing to see multiple tourist sites through taxi’s, we opted to customize a tour that utilized public transportation and short walk through neighborhoods in Kyoto. We visited Fushimi Inari Taisha, then sanzyusangen-so, experienced Kyoto noodle, then walked through the old geisha district and finally Gion. We then concluded with shopping on then street past Gion. It was a really nice visit that gave us a local flavor. The tour guide was wonderful and communicated in advance so that we can customize the tour to our liking!

Absolutely amazing tour and guide
This was the perfect Kyoto tour for our family (two older kids). LJ was the absolute best guide. He explained things along the way and made sure we could have memorable photos to go along with our trip. Our kids haven’t stopped raving about him and the tour which never happens! This is a must do for Kyoto

Enjoyable visit to Kyoto.
Great visit to Kyoto. Our driver and our guide YUKA were wonderful. YUKA did everything to tailor the tour to our interests, including responding to a special request, while providing excellent information. Pre tour communications were very timely and responsive.
We would highly recommend touring with YUKA.

We went to the Engyoji...
We went to the Engyoji Temple where they filmed the Last Samurai. We were basically the only visitors there, so it was very peaceful as I had imagined. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We then went back to Kobe and had the best Kobe beef at Mouriya Lin. Some of us proceeded to walk back to the ship through the shopping streets. and the others were taken back by car. It was a most enjoyable day!

You can do it all with the right guide
Ryan was an outstanding guide and made the entire day feel effortless. He connected with us right away, kept everything organized without rushing, and shared just the right amount of insight at each stop.
He also took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch that we never would have found on our own. The Shinkansen from Kobe to Kyoto was a highlight in itself, and Ryan made sure we experienced it the right way.
We covered a lot in Kyoto without it ever feeling overwhelming, which really speaks to how well he managed the day. If you have the chance to tour with him, take it.

Wonderfully tailored for 2 older couples!
We are two couples in our 70s. We move kind of slow and our hearing is not the best. We visited on a HAL cruise ship and we knew the large bus tours would be difficult for us, and the private HAL tours were amazingly expensive. Then we found the tours on Viator, which were reasonable. We hoped this would work, and it did!
Our guide Aki tailored the tour perfectly for the 4 of us. She navigated us through the numerous subway and train stations - buying us the right tickets and showing us how to use them - and knowing how to walk from the train to the subway and back to the train. And walking slow enough, and using elevators and escalators. We could have never done it alone.
We did the Carpentry Museum, the gondola ride to the herb garden and touring some of the garden, a lunch (she found something for the picky eaters in the group), a Shinto Temple, and a Sake tasting. We did everything we possibly could have done in 7 hours in Kobe. And there is no way we could have done half of it without Aki's expert guidance.
We learned a bit about Kobe and Japan and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend this experience. Being able to take a break when needed, and having the guide repeat what they said when needed, was just what we needed.
