At Pronoia Casa de Playa we host a maximum of 15 cruise guests per day. This is not a busy beach club: it's a small, family-run beachfront house 27 minutes from the port, where the crowds end and the reef begins. 100 meters of private beach, a floating platform, hammocks, and a rooftop with sea and jungle views. We run on solar power and harvested rainwater. It's not a luxury resort — it's a relaxed place for travelers who value authenticity, nature, and being treated like a person rather than a number. You'll be back at the port 2 hours before all-aboard. Guaranteed. Sargassum: if seaweed conditions are poor on the day of your visit, we will send you photos before you leave the port and you can cancel for a full refund. We would rather lose a booking than have you spend your only day ashore somewhere you don't want to be.

Hidden cenotes, crystal-clear swimming spots, and a channel once traveled by pirates reveal the stories behind one of Mexico’s most extraordinary lagoons. Experience it from the best possible perspective: on the water, aboard a small-group boat with only 10–12 guests. Away from crowded sightseeing stops, you’ll have the chance to swim, explore, and take in the incredible colors and natural beauty that make Bacalar unlike anywhere else in the Mexican Caribbean. With convenient round-trip transportation from Costa Maya Port, getting there is easy. After your time on the water, enjoy tacos and refreshing drinks at a lakeside club overlooking the lagoon — a relaxed finish to a day filled with turquoise waters, swimming, and a little pirate history.
